Heckuva win. Will be amazing to make the tourney. Would like us to end strong at home v. Vandy.

Proof of concept is important. Asa likely not staying for year 2 but if we can keep the rest of the nucleus intact, this team could be really really fun next year

We can talk about it after the season, but if Asa slips down in the high teens/low 20s draft grade and we can raise a bunch of NIL….ya never know. He might wanna come back and try to make a run with Wilkins coming in ;)

Probably not, but one can dream.

Yah, we need to skull freek Vandy at home and end on a high note. Biggest win yet for White and maybe biggest UGA men's hoops win in a decade. Hopefully this is a turning point for UGA hoops. I can't believe we may be dancing. It's been so long.

Not sure what to make of it. We all know we have the talent. The schedule was brutal but they have slowly clawed their way out of the muck. I also think it’s safe to say we’re finally out of our shooting slump.

What a run when we needed it most. Not scared of any of the 7 seeds or 2 seeds. Why not us.

No, but that was a rough stretch of games. Just 2 weeks ago we were 4-10 including a bad losing streak. The team took advantage of some lesser SEC teams and got the job done. Even the weak teams in the SEC are tough.

You are a moron. 2 weeks ago, you said we had to win out and win a game in the SECt to “sneak in”. Yet, we are now in no matter what. You have shite all over this program this season and now coming back cause we won a few games. frick off.

Also, “lesser SEC teams”? Florida was top 5 in the country when we beat them. We also beat Texas on the road, who just beat Miss State last night on the road to perhaps punch their ticket.

You clearly don’t know what you are talking about.

Yes, we played a murderer’s row of ranked SEC teams and lost to only 1 team that wasn't ranked. I kept reiterating that point and a lot of yall didnt want to hear it. GO back and read this and the other BBall thread. See the comments and see the down votes.

Very quick glance (so definitely could be mistaken) looks like we could finish anywhere from 10-12 in the standings. Currently looks like this:

9. Mississippi State 8-9
10. Vanderbilt 8-9
11. Arkansas 7-10
12. Georgia 7-10
13. Texas 6-11

-We do not have the H2H tiebreaker over MSU or Arkansas. Assuming we beat Vandy Saturday we would both be 8-10 and would have the tiebreaker over them.
-MSU plays at Arkansas Saturday. If MSU wins that would put Arkansas at 7-11 and below us in the standings. In that case it'd go 10- UGA, 11- Vandy then Arkansas/Texas in some order
-In a worst case scenario where we lose, we would be 7-11 but have the H2H over Texas. Whether Arkansas wins or loses wouldn't seem to matter since they have H2H over us anyway so things would basically remain as is with us at 12.

Here is the SECT bracket: LINK

Pretty big difference in being 10 vs 11 vs 12.

-10 seed puts us playing in the evening against LSU or SC
-11 seed puts is playing late as shite against TX or OU
-12 seed has us playing mid afternoon against Ark/Tx/Vandy

Honestly I'd rather be 12 than 11 given that. 10 would of course be preferred.

Jerry Palm had us as a 10 seed playing Louisville in the South Region, where Wisconsin is the 2 seed. Gotta say, that would also be a nice pull for us. Atlanta will be hosting Sweet 16 and Elite 8 in the South Region, which will undoubtedly have Auburn as the 1 seed.

Oklahoma looks like they’re going to beat Mizzou and Tennessee beating Ole Miss. Both games could help our seeding in the SEC tourney

Scenarios for SEC tournament

With a UGA win Saturday:
1) Arkansas wins, we will get the 11 seed and face Oklahoma at ~9:30pm on Wednesday

2)Arkansas loses, we will get the 10 seed and face LSU at 7pm on Wednesday

If we lose on Saturday, we will face Texas ~3:30pm on Wednesday

Obviously the best case scenario, would be for us to win and Arkansas lose….otherwise we will be playing Texas or Oklahoma

How does the 3 way tiebreaker work? If we win and arkansas wins us 2 and Vandy would all be 8-10. I know we'd be 1-1 against them but don't know anything else beyond that.
