You can tell Cash knows when he didn't get the first down last week he was losing his mind.

Great kid, love everything about him except his actual third down ability. Give me someone heavier, stronger, faster. Why does a fan have to point this obvious fact.

Alabama had guys running wide arse open all night in the first game this season. That looked like a scheme issue.

It doesn't baffle some members of this board though...

We couldn't get off the field on 3rd down when Bama had the ball, to be sure. Simpson looked like a Heisman candidate in the first half.

It's not unreasonable for fans to expect a loss to Bama until we prove we can beat them. It's the "they own our arse", swirling vortex of failure addict suck that I take issue with.

Kirby's history with games vs. Saban are absolutely ancient history and have no bearing on Saturday.

DeBoer's margin of victory across 2 games is a whopping 10 points. Yes, an L is an L, but let's not pretend like they beat us by 20+ both times.

With our starting center down, and Greene hurt yet again...and Bowens iffy, thats enough to make one wonder. However, GTs poor defense did leave in our backfield and the OL showed blocking issues yet again. Not very confidence building

Absolutely points of concern. As a matter of fact, I'd said after the Texas game that if we played Bama with our starting OL for the game against the Longhorns, we win that one - no question.

We could absolutely lose the game. Those of us who choose to be positive about the matter are hardly whistling past the graveyard. The OL injuries could very well be the X factor.

At some point we must trust in the coaches who make a metric shite ton of money to get the guys prepared, and the dudes wearing the G on their helmets are getting paid handsomely to be ready for war. I can't imagine they relish the toxic fan sentiment about not being able to get over the Bama hump.

When the coaches leave Cash out there in a 4th and 1, they know that they are getting smaller and less sturdy players on defense. If they subbed Cash out, the defense would have the opportunity to bring in their lard arse short yardage package.

Not saying the coaches are smart or aren't smart for this, but that's why they do it at least.

The mistake is having cash in on third down. I refuse to believe the difference in blocking or receiving between Cash and those 2 negates the value they add in the run game.

Having a small guy vs a small guy is worse than having Bowens or Frazier vs that same small guy...under your scenario.

Kirby likes cash because he is a white walk on running back that has put in the time and works his arse off and practices his arse off. And cash isn't a bum, he is fast and can make plays, but him being de facto 3rd down guy is crazy.

There's a long "What's wrong with Ty" thread on the Bama board, and it's about unanimous that he's beeng banged up for the last month and his back is pretty jacked up. Somebody said he's playing with a herniated disc, but that might be a little ambtiious.

We will have to agree to disagree on this one. Cash runs routes like a wide eceiver and catches like a wide receiver and draws a lot of attention from the defense when he's out there.

When our pass rush is on, it's effective. While sacks are great, and I hope we get a dozen of them vs. Bama this week, the rush itself is unbelievably disruptive, and sometimes that's enough.

I would not bet on Simpson surpassing his success in Athens this time.

I will. Love Kirby but he has to prove me wrong. I was in Indy the last time he did. Time to do it again.
