Remind me why we have no chance in the SECCG - I did not watch the AU - LSU game so I assume it wasn't as close as it seems from the score (I know AU scored in the last minutes of the 4th). Still - transitive property!

Auburn led for a significant portion of the game. LSU put back to back TD drives together late 3rd-early 4th to put it away.

LSU moved the ball well all game, they just kept committing turnovers.

LSU posters are the most notorious at cherry picking games to reinforce a point they are trying to make. You don’t hear about their Auburn game much for some reason.

It just goes to show you that the best offenses in America, even when they completely dominate the stat sheet, are capable of being in a dogfight when a few plays don't go your way (turnovers, missed kicks, failed 4th down and redzone tries, etc).

LSU was clearly better than Auburn but made enough mistakes to keep them in it. Nix being off target and Auburn's offense going 3 and out on three or four straight possessions kinda killed their chance of pulling off the win.

Game was played in sloppy weather. I don’t know that I’d read TOO much into it.

Logic dictates this will be competitive. Don't fall for the hype.

Auburn ran an odd defense in that game where they stacked the linbackers and did a lot of shifting of DB's to confuse the QB. It was a high risk strategy and worked pretty well, considering they gave up 508 yds and 30 first downs. You can't depend on that kind of performance yielding only 23 ponts.

We'll probably stick to our tried and true defensive formula, which means that our secondary and LB'ers will be sorely tested in pass coverage. We need to somehow throw Burrow off his game.

Ehhh... they led for maybe 15-20 minutes in total, and only 7 mins in the second half.
