All else equal, I'd rather play a team that's feeling overconfident than one feeling unloved, which is probably how the Arkansas football team feels right now. Fortunately, as a former player Kirby pays close attention to his own team's attitude, but I won't be surprised if Arkansas puts up more of a fight than people expect.

Their coach is pretty useless. Memphis had the largest payroll in their conference, and they still couldn't win their conference.
Also the coach's comment about our players' NASCAR skills will be a factor too. I don't care how much Kirby tries to downplay it. For our players, the shite's personal.

I’ve been watching the prices on some of these sites (not that I planned on attending) and I’m still seeing some over $100 each and the highest I saw was over $800.00 per ticket. I’m wondering, in events such as these, the sellers have to wind up eating losses unless they bought enough of some other tickets early and sold them at enough of a profit early to cover their losses for these high priced tickets. They have to wind up with a number of unsold tickets.

Maybe so, but football is a quirky game and sometimes a losing team gets mad, starts playing carefree and more competitive than expected. Take Arkansas last year, for example. After starting 2-0 vs cupcakes, in consecutive weeks they lost to Ole Miss, got blown out by Notre Dame, and lost 32-31 to Ryan Silverfield and Memphis. Then they travelled to Neyland Stadium and gave Tennessee all they could handle in a 34-31 loss that was statistically very similar to the Arkansas - Memphis game (not to mention the Tennesse Georgia game). The coaching change was relevant, but that was a closer game than anyone expected. As the season progressed, they also lost one score games to Texas A&M, Mississippi State and another cliffhanger to LSU. The 2-10 record wasn't a good indicator of how most of their games looked.
I have no idea what the score will be tomorrow, but Georgia is a young team on the road against their first P4 opponent. Maybe the Dawgs play extremely well and Arkansas continues to play poorly, but it wouldn't be a complete shock if it doesn't happen exactly that way.

about 9pm to ight they will roll the decreases and they will cheapen up. The ticket sites neter out small amounts of tickets to keep prices high, then dump going into the morning of the game.

I think the difference is with basically a complete turnover with the coaches and not any players that are standouts here and there in some key positions, something such as what happened with Tennessee last year, or some of the other games which were close, just isn’t in the cards this year, at least not with the teams we have to play.
So unless it is the type of game where the other team self destructs and commits a lot of turnovers, I just don’t see us being in any of these games. So in addition to new unproved coaching at least as far as the SEC level goes on the offensive side of the ball (we do have some on defense), I don’t see enough in the talent pool to put forth a collective effort to have a real contest. Even if the defense were able to gel at some point, the offense has a very long way to go, with quarterback play being a really big question right now (probably the biggest question). A recipe for any legitimate shot at success this season just isn’t there as far as I can see.

I suspect that after the Notre Dame and Memphis losses, most people weren't really expecting the Hawgs to be competitive against 12th ranked Tennessee in Knoxville either, even with Petrino taking over. You know your team much better than I do, but I still won't be shocked if the game tomorrow is competitive, especially in the early going. Early road games can be rough and unlike teams that rebuild through the portal, UGA begins every season with inexperienced starters. I'm glad our road schedule is starting with a less talented Arkansas team.

I worry about mistakes by a young offensive line.
Any team can have fumbles and put the ball on the ground.
But if we play a clean game, we should hit 40+ points with almost a quarter to play.
If Arkansas gift wraps points, we might hit that early in the 3rd quarter.

I don't think our offensive line is young. Age wise I see what you mean but 4/5 of them have started 10+ games and 2 of them are upper classman.
Helton is the only one I would say is young and would expect mistakes from at this point. Which one guy making a mistake on the line can lead to issues, but still. Experience wise on the whole I would classify them as pretty experienced

I think the Dogs will struggle against St Marys home for the def and blind, they have the best punter we will see all season......If he catches the snap.....
Always wanted to see them play but not as bad as they want to see us play....

Dontrell Glover and Juan Gaston have 16 starts between them.
Helton has 2 starts.
We are not as experienced as you think.
Continuity and execution are going to be a work in progress this season. Good news #1 is that our schedule is perfect for building continuity and cleaning up mistakes.
Good news #2 is that we are very experienced at C and LT. The two most important spots on the OL.

The oline is a strength of this team. My point is that it they were to underperform it would be a disappointment and not something that I would excuse due to being young.
They have all played and started in meaningful games besides Helton which means it is a pretty experienced line in this day and age.

Kind of.
It is difficult to make a case that the entire OL is a strength when a true freshman walks on campus and starts game 1.
We have road graders. That doesnt mean they can diagnose and block stunts, twists, and dogs consistently against future nfl talent.
60% of our OL have 22 starts combined (6 of those are against Tennessee St and Western Kentucky).
