Chemistry and leadership can't be overlooked. Fromm has it right now. He had some freshman moments yesterday but he also found a way to put up points even when the passing game was struggling. Reminded me of Aaron Murray in Knoxville pulling the ball down and taking off for a long run to get some momentum back after struggling to move the ball. Ballers find a way to win.

I don't know which QB is better right now but Fromm is the one behind center and leading the offense during our 5-0 season.

True. So if we are good enough on defense and STs to go with the Bama like model of crushing an opponent into submission, I want the Bama like game manager QB at the helm. Don't need a gunslinger. Fromm fits that mold perfectly with a high football IQ. David Greene would have been a perfect match for this type of team as well. Eason is a guy I would want if we are constantly playing from behind or if we were involved in 45-38 type games week in and out.

See I still don't get this logic. Just b/c Eason has a stud arm, doesn't mean he is just a gunslinger. It is stupid to think this.

In this offense we run, the coaches are calling the game to force the qb to be a game manager. Calling 15 pass plays, tells you all you need to know. It isn't like Fromm is deciding if a pass or run is called, same with Eason. Plus Fromm couldn't even throw for 50% against a shite TENN def, so to act like Fromm isn't making bad plays is just retarded.

We could be 5-0 with basically anyone back there this year.

We will need someone to be a gunslinger at some point this year. Eventually sometime this season we will find outselves in a situation where we have to throw it around.

Im happy with the job Fromm has done so far but I don't have confidence in him to go out and win us a game with his arm yet (because he hasn't been in that situation like Eason). Once he does I'm all in.

Fromm should keep his job for now. He struggled today but what he couldn't do through the air he showed he could do on the ground. He's a gutsy kid and deserves to lead the team as far as he can take them.

Agree with this. Eason in limited action in the 4th quarter didn't pull the trigger on a wide-open receiver in the endzone and then in typical fashion threw a high hard one to a well covered receiver who of course could not make the catch. We ended up settling for a FG.

Yea, Fromm did not have his best game passing but he did what was needed to win the game big time. IMHO, Fromm is the young field general who can assess the field quicker than Eason and throws more accurate passes with the right touch depending on the situation.

Fib, I think you see what you are dealing with here. And you know it's not worth it to keep wasting keystrokes on this debate. I know it's difficult to drop the shovel sometimes, but you and I both know this is not a place receptive to reason, logic and non-extremist opinions.

All good brotha... I offered up the last one just to see how it went over... about like a lead brick. Non emotional responses are not welcome with some. :)

Eason/ Fromm....G-Day. Who looked better? E

Well, not to let facts get in the way but Fromm played against the #2 defense at G-Day and Eason played against the #1.

The other fact is, Fromm is playing on a much better team. Eason spent a lot of last year under constant threat of getting killed out there. But even more, our defense is now in year 2 under Kirby and vastly better.

Fromm is doing a good job but some are giving him a little too much credit for a team with an A+ defense and a tremendous running game. We saw a few examples of Fromm's freshman mistakes in the passing game yesterday. He made up for some of that with his runs, but he definitely didn't look like a polished passer.

I don't get this fan boy mantra that if Fromm is good, Eason must be bad. Or who don't want Eason to be given an opportunity to win his job back.

I think Kirby knows better about the strengths and weaknesses of both of them. We'll be seeing more of Eason soon and I'm sure Kirby will use both to whatever advantage he thinks will help us.

Eason and Fromm are both 19. Eason has a birthday coming up.

Wish both the best

You absolutely nailed it. People are so quick to dismiss Eason , failing to realize that Eason was QB behind one of the worst offensive lines I an recall watching. He was throwing to the likes of Chigbu and Stanley, who both had bricks for hands. Not to mention Isiah had the worst of the dropsies. He did'nt have the luxury of a top 5 defense which created turnovers and scoring opportunties for him Like Fromm does. He also isnt playing under a rookie head coach like Eason was last year. Can we hold criticism until we actually see Eason play a game?

Yep look at the stats from last season to this season so far. Fromm hasn't been forced to throw the ball near as much as Eason had to last year. The running game this season vs last year and Oline play is vastly different. Our DEF is nothing like it was last season. This DEF this season is showing the promise that we saw at times last year.

Put Fromm in there last season instead of Eason, and he would have struggled as well. I just think many are too quick to write Eason off and crown Fromm as the next great qb at UGA. I think both have great talent and I'm hoping who ever comes out on top can lead us to the promised land. I just think it is immature to throw Eason under the bus this early in his and Fromm's career.
