Maine restrictions are easing up. Just talked to the guy that lives up there that owns the AB&B we rented.

We had a cruise booked for August (UGH) but due to the confounded virus we are now taking the motorhome and boat to a small lake just north of west Yellowstone where the brown trout are naïve and said to be vunerable to dry flies in August....dry camping, the last time I was there I was a week and saw 2 other people...I hate that the darned virus caused us to switch plans so drastically from one of standing in line with 4000 people desperately trying to have fun to one of us being alone for 14 days on an alpine lake full of big brown trout that aren't accustomed to seeing more than a couple of humans a week and sitting around a campfire of an evening, when it is actually needed because of the chill, drinking whiskey and smoking cigars...it just aint fair what destruction to lives the virus has wrought....

We did the Sedona/Grand Canyon/Hoover Dam/Los Vegas thing back in 2014. Loved it! Been up to Maine twice. Loved it!

I’m going in June but it’s not like I’m going to follow that nonsense anyway

But it would still suck if bars and restaurants were closed.

Not sure if beaches are a thing up there but I would imagine that dingbat would still have em closed.

There are some beaches in Maine but much of the coast is rocky. Sand is usually brown and mixed with dirt. Lakes and ocean is cold year round but lakes will warm up to mid-70s by July.
Folks up there wanted to take me ice fishing a few winters ago. I told them I would fish some ice from the freezer, drop it in a glass, and cover it with some good Tennessee whiskey.

Taking the kids to Gatlinburg/Dollywood for our annual end of summer vacation. Got a great deal on a room!

Wife and I have taken a big trip every year for the last 10-11 years. Nothing scheduled for now. We did do a week at Destin back in February before all of this mess broke.
