He could be our Rudy

I thought I was watching Mario cart when he took off running each time. Made me chuckle...

He’s been on the team for 3 years. I will root for him but it’s not likely. Lovett will get the lion’s share of snaps in the slot along with Bowers/whatever other TE.

He's not going to start or anything, but I bet he gets some shots at kick off.

That’s true. Maybe as a return guy but WR is too deep.

Speaking of quickness at WR returning kicks - why isn't Arian Smith the obvious choice at them? I know he's been banged up but when he's healthy, he's deadly quick.

my thoughts as well. If GDay were of any importance Ronnie Powell would be the best RB we've ever had. Mews looked solid but we just have so much ahead of him.

my guess would be that we don't have anyone else on the roster to replicate his skillset and what he does so he's too valuable to get hurt there. I remmeber Remarcus Brown back in 2011 was a kinda sorta similar type of athlete but if he got hurt it wouldn't really cripple our offense any, which wouldn't be the case if it were to happen to arian.

Arian Smith needs to stay healthy to take the top off the defense. And as fast as he is he’s actually not super shifty. He usually gets tackled by the first DB or Linebacker that he meets in the swing/ screen game. If he does get by it’s because there’s enough space for him to outrun them. Doesn’t have a bunch of moves. Reminds me of a longer Mecole Hardman.

Injury would be imminent with him

I predict he will have a few opportunities in the first couple of games.

kid was balling at G-Day. I think they'll find reps for him if he carries that momentum into the fall. He seems like a guy made for the spread rather than a bunch of two TE sets though.

I see Arian as a straight line speed guy. I don’t see him being able to cut, and explode through blockers.

What defense was he "balling out" against?
