I’m of the opposite opinion.
He has one of the best lawyers one could possibly get. The guy is know as a “miracle worker” and a “fixer”. Judging by his history, he can make this go away no matter if it’s true or not. Not saying AA, doesn’t deserve punishment if he did do it, just stating that the lawyer is so good that he’s probably going to win regardless.
If AA hasn’t been arrested yet and no charges have been filed, that’s a sign that this will most likely be resolved quickly. The quicker it’s resolved, the easier it will be to recover from it. An arrest or charges would probably end his career even if he’s never convicted.

I agree. My gut is telling me that the fact he has not been arrested and charged by now suggests the DA’s office doesn’t believe they have a winnable case.
It’s a high profile rape accusation. It shouldn’t take this long to have probable cause evidence to book him if it was winnable.
And DNA means nothing in a case where the question is only consent, by the way. So those that think that’s what they’re waiting on are being dumb. He’s already admitted to having sex with her, so his DNA will be there.
So far, it sounds like this is purely a he said/she said case, and she’s already had to change her story to fix one story-breaking hole.

This very well could be Duke Lacross 2006 scenario.
this very well could be our Marcel Ozuna scenario. And that is fresh in people's minds. Good player got kicked off a team before the truth came out. Same media market too.
Think a lot more people will be patient with this one considering what happened there.

You've never had a woman dig her fingers into your back?

Good point but it’s still not a dumb thing to point out because they could be testing other things like DNA under her fingernails if there was a struggle, etc
So I’m pretty sure if her story changed from “I was unconscious throughout” to “check my finger nails for DNA to show I fought with him” that maybe AA’s attorney would have highlighted that massive inconsistency instead of the other.
Not to mention, if there were a chance he had scratch marks/signs of offensive wounds on him the police would have absolutely arrested him so they could secure pictures as evidence.
Think, man.

Pretty sure a starting linebacker who’s played 8 games has a few scratches and wounds.

I have first hand experience with this from a legal perspective and it’s not as cut and dry as you make it out to be. Btw, not saying he’s guilty. Just think it’s careless to say there’s no way he is getting arrested at this point.

Could he not volunteer that when asked without being arrested?

Seems like the law will wrap this up quickly but the University EOO could muddy the waters veing academics and all that think all masculinity is toxic...

But that would lend even more credence to what I said. If he had clear offensive wounds (and there’s a difference between football related cuts/abrasions/bruises and a women’s defensive claw marks, sorry), he would have surely been arrested and charged by now.

This is why I think his uga career is done even if he did nothing wrong.

It was 4/5 games from being over either way. Sucks to have this happen in the middle of our best season in a very long time but it is what it is. Hopefully he didnt' do what he's accused of. You would think these kids would get classes on consent and not be stupid enough to throw your entire life away over it but alcohol can muddy thinking.

This can happen with or without consent.

The function of EOO is effectively to shield the university from getting sued. As long as Anderson didn’t actually commit a crime and as long as nobody tried to cover something up, nothing will come of it. But gathering all necessary evidence to do that can be time consuming
