Per BRB on LHB...

I was just told the reason why Toby waited so late was to get cleared by UGA admissions. Everything makes sense now. Heard he got cleared by UGA yesterday finally

Well, little Mikey must have wet his britches!
Toby got in after all!
Bleacher Report was saying we were out of it.
So were a couple of other recruiting services, so I believed it.
But what thrills my soul, actually gives me a Republican tingle down my leg (see sold out liberal suck up, Chris Matthews, the "Hard Ball" idiot who worships Obama) ... is that Carvell reported UGA had failed to contact Toby and we were totally out of the picture with him.
Carvell was so, so wrong. I love it.

Very big pick up for us. D line looks to be solid for us next year.

Projected ranking for next year's DL when we come out of camp, provided Toby is healthy by August 1:
Smith
Mayes
T. Johnson
Taylor
Drew
Thornton
Atkins
Bailey
Johnson
Deloach is OLB, right?

I think Deloach will move to DE for us and be a good contributor.

Out of camp, I expect Taylor ahead of guys at the NT position because he had the redshirt and supposedly handled himself great in practice.
3-4 games into the season, we might have a change (it took the 3rd game for John Jenkins to get the start over Kwame in 2011).

Seems to me that's a bit of a question yet.
Even if all 4 incoming LBs slated as inside LBs stay at ILB, only Burrows and Herrera have any experience at all at ILB, so I'm figuring Ramik will stick at ILB.
We'll need Deloach at OLB. Vasser is a senior, Stripling a senior used only for special teams, and Jenkins and J. Dawson are sophs. With 3 incoming OLBs as true freshmen, we may need Deloach's experience, at least while the incoming OLBs are learning their craft.

Thx for the reply.
Interesting thought on Taylor.
I'm hoping Mayes and Taylor can provide serious SEC level NT play, and we don't have to wait as long to get it as we did with Geathers and, to a lesser degree, John Jenkins.
It does sound like Coach Wilson and CTG are open to rotating more DLs into our games this year than last, and that with the 4 incoming DLs we have coming in, at least 3 of them would be likely to end up on the two deep, or at least to see some action in most of our games.
Smith is a lock at DE, but I see a major battle for the other starting and 2 deep spots, which I hope brings out the best in Drew, Bailey, and Thornton.
