Video isn't everything, but I love this kid's highlights. He's been playing varsity ball since his freshman season. He's still only 16 I believe.

Any reason why Georgia didn't pursue Deuce Geralds?
#2 ranked DT from Suwanee and he didn't list Georgia as a finalist.

Georgia recruits and evaluates on 2 main things. Physical traits and in person testing. If he wasn’t impressive working out for the coaches and he measured in legit only 6’1” he’s an awkward fit at best for us. That’s why our coaches are actually higher on Valdin Sone than the guy who flipped to Texas. Sone is much bigger so fits better in our system.

Lots of our insiders wondered the same thing.

Probably how much they valued him vs. how much they would've had to pay him.

Was he demanding a huge NIL package?

I assume they all are.
To echo others, a small-ish DT is not someone UGA is ever going to push for.

Kirby uses a different recruit ranking service.

I assume it’s similar for most coaches, but multiple people have said that if a coach wants to piss Kirby off, all he has to do is mention recruiting rankings of any kind and Kirby loses his crap in the meeting and basically says “OK if you need a ranking service to tell you if the kid is any good or not then you’re not good enough at your job to be on my staff” lol

Not that it matters for 26 but our big fish for ‘27 ladamion guyton picks Texas tech over us. Another financial L
Has anyone fired up a study on the money willing to be invested in NIl + expenses spent on recruiting them and if it equals the same as a fat last minute NIl deal yet? Just annoying, if it is pay to play. Maybe just try paying. If they ban it one day, they ban it for everyone and adapt again, but the refusal to open a war chest we built for years right now feels like Dabo’s infamous refusal of the portal.

He's getting $900k his freshman year then $1.2m and $1.4M the two years after that. Texas Tech is throwing a lot of money around at 4 & 5 star guys. They're going to be a problem.

I heard we took him to keep him from going to Tech and that he probably won’t ever sniff the field with us.

I can't tell who you're talking about, but it's nonsense. Kirby doesn't recruit players to keep them away from GT. He's trying to win national championships and Tech is a minor obstacle to that goal.
If you're talking about Lonon, that's complete BS anyway because he's a very good football player and they wanted him at UGA to help us win games.

Well this would suck. The Plan d (still a great one) running back commit Jae Lamar will still look around.
It's pretty much established that we don't pay what some are willing to pay for high school running backs. The Kromah kid was supposed to go to Georgia the whole time until Auburn came up with some more money at the last minute. Will be interesting to see if we make an exception for Lamar.

Kromah is at Florida St.
