He’s good folks. Only ranter I have actually met in person. That I am aware of, anyway. I could have run into a dozen of you in Athens on a Saturday in the Fall and not known it.

it seems we are having trouble keeping qbs.

I mean if I was a QB or WR I wouldn’t necessarily want to come here. Our offense isn’t a put up numbers offense. If we do outmatch our opponent, we play conservative and spread the wealth while other teams stat pad. And in close games we rely on the defense and play conservatively and spread the wealth. All in all we spread too much wealth. lol.

It’s been over 20 years since we’ve had a thousand yard receiver.

Hell, it’s been since 2019 that we’ve had a thousand yard back.

Bennett in 22 accounted for 37 total TDs. 27 passing 10 rushing. In 15 games. That’s roughly 2.5 per game. He averages 275 yards passing per game.

Beck last year accounted for 28 total TDs. In 14 games. That’s 2 per game. He averaged 280 yards passing per game

Is that impressive to you? My point isn’t that we aren’t good or talented. It’s that we don’t stat pad our studs and stud players want to put up numbers. That’s why it’s foolish to even consider one of our guys for pre-season Heisman odds because they simply won’t put up the required numbers.
