Another walk off essential ends our season outside of taking 2 from LSU and making a run in Hoover.
Swept by the 3rd to last place team at the end of the season…UGA got tickets to fly home, hopefully Striklin has a ticket out of Athens

How much more heat does he have to get to be gone does brooks just don’t care or is he gonna give him another year? He has to be gone right?

It would be truly astounding for any other outcome. There is no way brooks is that dumb, or cares that little about the program that he'd do that. All the excuses diddly or anyone else can come up with regarding just waiting til facilities upgrade, or not having the coach/staff money due to other projects, or making other changes on staff, or there not being anyone else out there, etc...are all just that. Excuses. The dude has been a coach for nearly two decaddes and made it out of a regional preceisely one single time. That alone is pathetic enough but the fact that he's been given 9/10 years at a place like UGA with that resume is mind boggling.
I don't care if we have to hire a HS coach from an AAAAAAA program NW of atlanta somewhere, we jsut have to do SOMETHING different. Anything. Anybody else would be better for the program right now than what we currently have.

I think it’s fair to say Strick could do pretty well at a Big10 program where the in conference competition just isn’t so relentless and making the tourney and making a run could be a bit more possible.
As it stands, he’s just middle of the pack at his absolute best in the SEC. He can’t compete in recruiting with other schools and while I don’t place facilities solely at his feet, hes also not threatening to walk if he doesn’t get the resources he needs and to be competitive. Good coaches have to be savvy enough to leverage and advocate for their programs nowadays.
He’s not the worst hire McGarity made but he is proving to be just another McGarity hire. Time to turn the page.

Point being that now that the regular season has ended, the official record sits at 25 with his shot yesterday.
