Well to start we will have 3 in the first 2 rounds this year but in the last 20 years

Stroud
Seymour
Grant
Sullivan
Geathers
Golston
Johnson
Wynn
Atkins
Owens
Houston
Tyson
Jenkins

2 of those guys got record contracts and this isn't the entire list. Its just the ones who did well in the NFL. Like 5 to 6 guys were first round draft picks and a lot more than that were taken in the first 3 rounds. Not to also mention the number of pro bowls out of that group and sack leaders for the season.

What's crazier is that picture is almost a year old....

6A 220 lb weight class State Champion and named a Super 12 lifter! He also set the following records:
6A Bench Press - 370 lbs
6A Deadlift - 720 lbs
All Time 220 Deadlift - 720 lbs
All Time 220 Total - 1,720 lbs

All as a junior in high school

Kid can certainly lift a shite ton of weight… but how is a 370# bench a 6A record?

I was benching 320# in HS in 1990, and 3 guys on my team hit the 400# mark or slightly more. And that was Sprayberry, which I think we were 5 or 6 A at that time.

I saw something yesterday that said his bench was 415.

LOL, nah. My pops was a Cobb Co. deputy sheriff (warrant division, not some prick who issued traffic tickets), and my moms was some middle management for IBM over at the darth vader building.

2 of the guys I mentioned who lifted 400# were under 220. Twins, Eli and Elijah Wright. Athletic freaks of nature, but don’t know where they went after hs.

Also Branson Robinson is from MS, so there's another explanation on why his numbers don't match up with your Sprayberry experience.

Obviously early, but I’m seeing rumblings that Arch Manning may be leaning in our direction.

It would be worth it for the melt alone.

Let's land Arch Manning and later bench him for some walk-on who is even better.

Manning is running on name alone. He stunk it up. And if a walk on is better, so be it.

Do we really want this family sticking its nose in all our business. Remember when Eli told San Diego that if they drafted him, he wouldn't play for them.

I don't want to see Athens infested with Mannings.

That move worked out pretty well I think.

The Mannings are good people

This thread is almost 1 year old. It’s a few days away. Do y’all want me to do the 2023 thread?
