My UGA roommate's younger brother is the Calhoun OL coach. Tells me Speer is as good a pure football player as he's seen in HS. Oh, and he was at Rome when AA was wreaking havoc there.

Plus, he played at MTSU and in the NFL, so he knows what he's talking about.

Why is Tyre West getting crystal balls to FSU. He’s been UGA commit since last year. Is he flipping?

There's been chatter about him possibly being a mutual decision departure since April or so. Good effort guy, but hasn't really grown into the frame that was projected previously, leaving him in a bit of a tweener category. If he doesn't have a clearly defined role, it'll be hard to see the field in Athens, and he is looking at prioritizing playing time, which is hard to argue with.

Good things being heard about some other targets.

Why are you banging your head? This was literally a mutual decision. Staff didn't push him out but weren't fighting to keep him either. We should expect to be happy with the end result barring some unexpected craziness.

He's a tweener and we have some bigger fish on the hook apparently. I wish him nothing but the best at FSU

So now we're so good that we're in the business of not being fazed having lose a top 100 Dlineman?

He's around the same size as Tramel Walthour but a better athlete. I hope we do have bigger fish to fry but I'm not seeing any names out there.

I believe you but where is it being reported? I haven’t seen it on any of the usual places.

Shone Washington, Deone Walker, Shemar Stewart and Hero Kanu. Go to talkndawgs.com

They are out there. Just be patient. We are in it for players that will be as good or better.

He's smaller that Walthour and didn't grow as much as projected. Another poster listed some names but left off Hero Kano. The staff likes him better. I'll trust their opinion over anyone else's.

Believe what you want man. Sky is falling I guess...

As of right now, it sounds like his leaving opens up a spot for Hero Kanu, with an outside shot at grabbing Shemar Stewart as well (assuming we keep his last official right before ESD). Shone Washington may find himself claiming one of the late spots also. At this point, I am not concerned about our ability to recruit the DL effectively between Kirby, Tray Scott, and now Muschamp on staff. I'll trust their evals over anyone looking at 247 ratings as their gauge for whether someone is a fit/take or not.

Good grief dude. A discussion about a top recruit decommiting leads to this.

You aren't new here so ignorance can't be an excuse. You know how this board rolls.
