You and ole NC52 acting like the world is collapsing is annoying. No one has decommitted because of this. We haven't lost out on any commits yet. Just chill and see where the chips fall.

Does anyone have an update on CJ Stroud? I know he took an OV but I haven't heard any update on that.

Josh Braun meeting with UF coaches today. Probably 60/40 that he flips.

Stroud was in Ann Arbor this past weekend and is scheduled to visit Ohio State this weekend before he signs.

Heard he enjoyed his visit to Athens and that staff was going out for an in-home visit. Everything's kind of quiet on visits though. That's the good news.

The bad is why Ohio State is supposedly the favorite to land him.

Interesting quote from Pittman today-
"I thought I knew how to recruit until I went to Georgia and worked with Kirby Smart. That is like recruiting on steroids."

You're right. Someone I was chatting with about the O-line guys yesterday was very hopeful this would happen.

Arik Gilbert named Gatorade Georgia Football Player of the Year. How were we not able to lock this guy up? How did we let him get away to LSU of all places? Thought we were building a wall around the state.

Got to give credit where it's due. Kids love Coach O. He's capitalizing on the success they're having on and off the field. LSU isn't done having success recruiting out of state.
Whether it's a connection with coaches, kids, their parents or a combination of those, he does as well as any pitching his program. Those connections matter more than anything else in recruiting.
A couple of highly ranked kids that went elsewhere in the last two cycles really wanted to go there. That says a lot.

LSU is just doing what we did in 2017, capitalizing on being the hot new thing in the game. They’ll have their challenges over the next couple of years sustaining the newfound success same as we’ve had (possibly even more now with Kiffin in play, Gus locked in, Saban being Saban, and Pitt as the wildcard at Arkansas). Dawgs are going to be defined by how the program reacts to this season from the top down. No way to say what that looks like but the next few years are about to get better or worse.

LSU will be on top of the SEC as long as Aranda and Brady are there, and they are willing to pay each of them close to $3m per year to make it happen.

Brady will stick around another year or 2 before the NFL comes calling.

Someone will do the same to Aranda. Good assistants don’t stay assistants forever

Sustaining success in college football means handling staff turnover, transfers and early departures. Coaches have to continually adapt.

The playing field is constantly changed to allow as many to keep pace as possible. Whether it's recruiting rules, the transfer portal, facilities, etc. the game has, and always will, constantly change.

So do we go after a QB to challenge Fromm? If, not to challenge Fromm, at least quality depth? Transfer portal? Jack Sears is available. Chase Bryce will be available. I feel like Kirby needs to make a move. Can’t afford another lackluster offensive season.

Justin Shorter: The #8 ranked player in 2018 is also in the portal. Looks like a freak athlete at WR.
