"He'll be great for the team GPA though."

I don't think we need to worry about this as much as we fill the needs with the highest players we could garner. As stated before, he probably flew under the radar, not his fault, but may prove to be one of our greatest threats in the years to come. GPA be damned.

That's a lot of growing at his age. if he can gain another inch and put on 10-15 more LBS he could be a really, really nice pickup. Hey...for a late pickup he has a lot of upside. Lets hope it pays off.

When exactly was this said? Great, maybe he is a diamond in the rough but I wanna see em on the field first and Im sure as hell not gonna go off overzealous message board scouts. He'll be great for the team GPA though.

Why so negative about this kid? Talking about his future contributions being to gpa and as Fair catch guy...

And you seem to be the overzealous message board scout..the coaches offered him and it wasn’t for fair catches and gpa, despite your “expert” opinions on the matter.

The kid is going to be a contributor. He's going to be our Hunter Renfrow; high character kid with sure hands and surprising athleticism

Lol of course. A shorter Kris Durham. A thinner Michael Bennett. A faster Michael Greer. Basically a better version of Chris mcranie and Rhett McGowan. Did I miss anyone else?

He’s gonna be himself and apparently the coaches think that’s good enough to help us win. I don’t know anything about his character or that of our other wide receivers. If it’s nit good then it’ll show up. We’ve had plenty of guys contribute who others thought were too small/too slow/etc. other times they haven’t. Just didn’t understand the one guys negativity about him.

Wouldn't be the first time a lightly recruited, high GPA kid gets a late offer.
I mean it was one of the reasons we offered.

quote:

explained to me that they wanted high character guys they wouldn't have to worry about getting into trouble or skipping class, and then he presented me with the offer

I wish it was the case for all our offers but we all know this isn't the case.

Ladd's Hudl
His Hudl looks pretty good. Couple of moments he lays the wood as a DB. He's featured at QB, DB, WR and punt/kick return. At times he reminds me of Manziel while at aTm. Should be sacked but no one can catch him and he extends the play. This film looks pretty good. Don't see how anyone can scoff his potential at the next level as a Dawg. Maybe he's a Jason Edelman type?

Durham was a solid 3rd down machine. Same for Bennett. I haven't seen a UGA WR lay out for a pass like Bennett since Pickens, last season.

That’s great and his film looks good too. Seems he has great speed and even better start/stop/start moves. Yet, other than being white and having a solid GPA, how do we know he is high character?
