It’s kinda wild how far he lags behind the rest of the staff in recruiting.

Not very weird or confusing honestly. He is a bad recruiter at a hard position to recruit. But, he will be gone after this season and hopefully we will hire someone competent.

I’m giving Scott this season to prove me wrong.

We already knew Murphy wasn’t coming to Athens. No need to be frustrated again tonight.

Lets go get Burch.

As long as Clemson doesn’t have room for Burch, we have a punchers chance.

It’s a sad state of affairs that South Carolina, a team that will be lucky to go 5-7 this year, has a great shot to beat us out for an elite DL again this year.

It stings to see Clemson sign one of the top players in the country right out from under us in our own backyard.

Hillgrove is only 30-45 minutes closer to Athens than Clemson.

You mean guys from SC?

I normally agree with most of what you say, but feel like Tray Scott messed with your GF or something

Again, I’m not overly sold on Scott, and expect him to be gone if the DL is a weak spot this year. But I don’t think he deserves all the blame when Murphy doesn’t commit, but none of the credit when Walker commits.

My wife wouldn’t give Tray Scott the time of day.

It’s nothing personal. In fact, I was a big “wait and see” defender of him last year. I’ve waited. I’ve seen. His position group has regressed on the field, and he is at best a liability on the recruiting trail.

I get hot about it because it is clear that NO ONE wins a national title without elite, game changing production on the DL, and we will NEVER have that with our current configuration.

The bottom line is Tray Scott is a decent DL coach/recruiter.

Decent won’t get the elite guys in your back yard when Bama, Clemson and Auburn are a hop, skip and a jump away.

He’ll get a couple of big fish, enough to stay above water, but if you want an elite DL, Scott is not your guy. Simple as that.

We were a 2nd and 26 from a National Championship with a worse DL than we’ll have this season IMO.

I hope you are right about having a better DL this season. I don’t see it. I think by mid season it emerges as a clear problem and is the most likely thing to keep us from contending at the season’s end. Very little talent in that room compared to every other position.

That would require some guys this year to play above their ranking. We’ve seen flashes of Davis doing that, but no one else really.

Need a monster year out of Clark imo.

I’m not sure I’d go as far as to say very little talent.

Got a crystal ball for Kelee Ringo today from Demetric Warren. Good to get a CB for Ringo, but I'm not sure how reliable Warren is. (Meaning I am not familiar with Warren)

ETA
I see that he had Ratledge and Sherman crystal balled to us, too.

Hopefully one of these corners can gain 130lbs and slide inside. Hahahaha.

We have a Senior DL who I think can/will be very good. The Coaching staff just have to get those guys healthy. Too many injuries during spring training.
