Smith is the burner of the class. Would actually say he is more important than Burton at this point

Both are important. LSU receivers are not burners and still tore our asses up. Smith might be like Hardman and need a year or two refine his skills. Burton is already polished like Rosemy and ready to contribute right away. And Burton is plenty fast.

Blaylock was pretty polished. D-Rob is a burner who has produced. LSU's scheme and their QB made the receivers as much as anything.

Right now it sounds like everyone believes signing the right guys will solve everything. I sometimes find myself failing into that thinking as well, but the truth is even if we sign every receiver we want there is still reason to be concerned.

4* Safety Major Burns is a Dawg,

Congrats. I really wish we had room for him. He seems like a high character, intelligent kid. His dad passed away and his commitment video to LSU was very touching. Damn shame we couldn't keep him in our class.

BTW, I know he's listed as a safety on 247, but we were recruiting him as a corner. I wouldn't think taking Burns necessarily means anything with regard to Reed. At least from a projected position stand point.

Thanks, Whitefoot. I've heard nothing but good things about the kid. Sounds like we came out with a real winner.

Yeah, I don't think it means much in regards to Reed, either. We will still go for him, too.

Let’s hope he’s good, or else the rant is going to have a field day with his name.
