Moody closes this one out with 3 up 3 down.
Good game 1 win. Moody, Fowler, and Randon Jernigan all got their first action of the season (Jernigan played CF in the 9th). Hancock looked like he should.
We will see who starts Game 3 but Wilcox will be on the hump at 1PM for Game 2 tomorrow.

Anderson, Moose, and Sully sitting out game 2, Jernigan makes his first start in CF of the year.
If all goes well, likely going to see King back at 2B and Anderson, Jernigan, Bradley in the OF moving forward

That home run was all Wilcox. Looked like that hitter was just hoping to make contact, and Wilcox had to leave that fastball up.
Wilcox is pitching well other than that one pitch.

Didnt get to see much of his first start last week, but it definitely looks like Wilcox is a pitcher this year, and not just a really talented thrower as a freshman.

What a horrendous call after a review. Wasn’t even close the tag being applied to the bag. Should’ve had 2 on with 1 out and instead Rogers flies out to end the inning.

Wilcox definitely seems to have more of an approach now that he’s a little older and wiser. He’s not overthrowing much this year, topping off at 95 and relying on more control and placement
