McClendon to the good guys. Boom. Keep stockpiling talent on the OL.

Keeping momentum on the OL recruiting his huge. Need that same intensity on the DL now.

I would bet my middle nut that Travon Walker is the highest guy left on our board. If not, he should be.

I know we just gave him a raise, but he probably deserves another.

Can't let him leave Athens until he decides to retire.

Pittman just tweeted

"Another GREAT day to be a DAWG!! #yessirrrr #GoDawgs"

McClendon retweeted it instantly

I bring it up periodically, but he made a statement pretty early on that this was likely his "last stop" as far as willingly making a move. Of course, things can always change, but at this point in his career, you have to think that big time cash as an assistant and building the recruiting machine that we have going right now... there really *isn't* a better option out there... unless he changes his mind and wants to go be an OC somewhere.

I worry more about keeping Dell McGee. I know we can't keep him forever, but give me another solid 2-3 years, and I'm happy.

We have a couple guys that are probably on short lists elsewhere for a promotion if they wanted to leave. McGee, Schumann, Sinclair for sure.

Schumann should be promoted to DC after Mel leaves

Why would our head strength and conditioning coach take another job?

And Dell needs whatever titles and raises that man wants.

Yeah - I guess he can't get promoted (chief strength officer?). My point was that we have several young coaches that almost every other program would want.

Makes me think that recruiting success is less about a big name OC/DC and more about the more junior guys who really relate well to the high school kids.

A lot goes into it. I mean, I wouldn't put Pittman into the younger crowd, but he does seem to relate well to the kids. But the main draw kids have to Pittman is success. If a coach is successful and puts kids into the NFL, they will want to sign up. Nothing breeds success like success.
