John Emery from Louisiana has visited a few times.

Yes. I think we are very much in t with Emery, but Louisiana kids are very hard to pull.
Best bet, imo, is Daniel Carter, but I wouldn't count anyone out.

Well the boot has 3 big time RBs this cycle so pulling one might not be out of the question.

I saw Tyrion Davis. he is committed to LSU already, I think. he's a monster, and I have to think he will outgrow the position if he gets much bigger. 6'1" 230 is a big kid with another year of growing to go. My guess is he has weight problems for a RB. He seems to run hard, but straight up. Looks to have good vision, too. He moves well for such a big guy, and his tape looks good, but something bothers me about him. I can't put my finger on it.
Also, LSU is pretty thin at RB right now, so I would guess they will take at least two.
I don't see the third one, though.

I am kind of like a couple of other guys. If we don't get who we want, I would almost rather pass this cycle on RB. I don't see Herrien or Holyfield leaving this year, although it's possible.

I think you always need to take at least one. Let's say White and Cook leave after their junior seasons, we'd have very little depth at the RB position for the year of 2021.
I don't want to have any more Brendan Douglas' or Carlton Thomas' starting in or backfield if people get hurt.

I agree , we should take one even if it’s a guy that isn’t a big time 5 Star. Getting a 4star guy that can still be a weapon for any possible attrition would be nice. Daniel Carter fits that mold. Obviously Sanders and Crouch would be instant takes.

Looks like the Jay Hayes news is official. Headed to Athens for his final year.

I understand what you are saying, and agree to an extent. but they have two years before they can leave. If we skip one cycle, then sign two the next, the two we sign would be sophomores when they left. (Am I looking at this wrong, or misunderstanding?)
If we sign one this cycle,(Say...Emery) we would have
Swift, Herrien, Holyfield, White, Cook and Emery next season. That is more than what we had when Chubb and Michel were seniors.

Just saw where you were talking about White and Cook. I was thinking you were talking about Herrien and Holyfield.

Hayes was a highly rated run defender by PFF last season which our dline definitely needs. Don't worry a lot about our ability to pressure the passer with Walker/Grant/Cox/Beal/Brown/Anderson but I worry about how solid we'll be stopping the run between the tackles.

Broderick Jones, the 6-foot-6, 300-pound tackle prospect from Lithonia High School, committed to Georgia

Take a 2020 commitment for what it's worth, but having a monster OT that year would be a big boost with Thomas in *potentially* his last year.

Kirby and Schuman spent a lot of yesterday on the phone with recruits, we have 3 guys taken in the 1st round, on top of selling out for G-day. Those recruits about to start popping

several 247 threads keep talking about a commit happening today. Any idea who they're referring to?

I've seen some speculation that Trez Marshall might pull the trigger soon. Him and OP would be quite the anchors to the middle of the defense.

2020 Kobe Hudson committed to Auburn today. Maybe that was it?
