Any realistic chance Fields pops this weekend at the Kirby-cue?

(guys saying they're going wherever Fields goes).

Yeah I saw the Luke Ford article yesterday and know about Kearis Jackson.

Whoever gets Fields is going to kill it down the stretch.

Have y'all heard seen anything on your end regarding Matt Corral?

I'd read something somewhere about character/otf issues but not qualified/ motivated to speak about it.

No, but our chance with him will end later this month assuming we accept corral's verbal.

This isn't the consensus, but I think there is at least some chance.

Check USCw 247 board. I believe there are rumblings of Manziel-esque issues. Not sure if true or just salty fans because they lost his commitment.

Yea It seems that way, but hey I think Corral is a pretty good consolation prize

I think we would all be fine with that as long as we get fields

Word is Corral has some serious off the field issues.

Like Johnny Manziel.

Umm... no. I want no 5 star QBs down in Gainesville that have a cannon. Give them more versions of Felipe Franks.

Johnny Manziel was a damn good college football player.

69.9 4114 37 13

You'd be wise to take that

I think the rumors are more geared to Johnny Football's NFL offseason issues, not his problems coming out of high school.

IMO depends on what the kind of "attitude" issues are with a college player. Is he a "me first" douche like Ryan Leaf in college or a "party guy" like Johnny football? Neither translate to the Pros but college football is a different animal.

Yeah, maybe not the best example on my part. I really just meant I want them to get crappy QBs, not ones that potentially can be 1st round draft picks.

For the record, everyone who rips on Eason's accuracy probably won't be all that thrilled with Corral, either. Both seem to have poor mechanics in HS and relied on throwing a bomb that would hang up there while his receiver(s) would just outrun everyone and go get it. I think Corral will be a very good college QB with some hard work and good coaching (same with Eason, though I think Eason has the higher ceiling), but he's not going to be an instant impact QB, regardless of where he goes. Fields, however, just looks smooth out there. He has a very strong arm, seems cool under pressure, throws with confidence and accuracy, and can obviously run. Not to mention he's like 6'4" 225 lbs already... he's the closest thing we've seen to Cam Newton since Cam Newton.

So basically, if we miss on this guy, he goes to our rival, and wins a natty.

Great
