Especially on one where the news cycle is pretty limited outside of the season. There definitely isn't 5 days worth of content just sitting out there to talk about...
All in all, he is starting to find his groove at least.

Barstools,
I like you as a poster and am many times on your side of whatever argument we are having. However; i’ve got to disagree with you.
18 year old definitions and real definitions are very different things. There is a very real possibility that the kid in the article had the interviewer wait on him to get the definition of the word pushy on urban dictionary.
Seriously though, when you are running out of room and time it’s one thing to pressure someone into a decision one way or another versus the middle of August and 15 scholarships available. It was like Kirby was trying to get the train out of the station and that kid wasn’t sure if he wanted to get a ticket.

So back to recruiting....
How did visits go this weekend? Who actually made the trip?

First off, this is recruiting...
Second off, my visits were great. How did yours go?

Otis Reese - made the trip and had a big group with him. I still think he will go to Michigan in the end. Don’t count out Central Michigan because he has a brother there.
Walker - went to Auburn. He visits the good guys this weekend last official. UGA/UT battle
Campbell - went to UTK this weekend. Took very small group with him. Vols are long shot. Will official to Miami this weekend. Still think we are in drivers seat
Sandidge- Kirby will visit this week as well as Muschamp
Kirby will also visit Bush and Davis this week.
I still like Americus Dawgs list.
Campbell
Walker
Davis
Walthour
Bush
I am least confident in Walker and Bush out of this group.

There is a 0.0% chance he goes to Central Michigan. I do agree that I think Michigan is most likely for Reese - I don't have any insider knowledge, but if he has stayed committed thus far I think he sticks there.

Campbell and Bush are biggest needs ATM. Need LBs and DL too but a shutdown corner and a big receiver are precisely what separates us from Bama right now

There are very few successful podcasts that are daily. There's a reason for that. 2-3x per week should be what BA shoots for, especially in the off season. That's just too much content for someone who's not all that talented.

Until we have no physical space, elite DL is always going to be at the top of the list in terms of needs. If an elite DL, OL, or CB want in - you make them a priority regardless.
But yeah, we could certainly use a big tall WR to replace JW.

We have one in Landers and 3 more at 6’2” or so. With next years wr class I would much rather have a defensive player in that spot at either DL or CB.

I'd take Sandidge over Bush. I'm just not sure we pull him away from South Carolina.

I said it last week but will restate it:
I really think sandidge is more realistic than most have thought.
By all accounts, Tray Scott has done a great job here and that relationship could be key.
Kirby also still has an in home to use here and will reportedly on Wednesday.

South Carolina insiders are saying the same thing now as well:
quote:
-Nearly every cycle, it seems there is a recruitment that plays out like Rick Sandidge. A prospect has South Carolina at the top of his list nearly the entire cycle and then another program closes at the end and it gets interesting. It happened last cycle with Jamyest Williams and has happened with prospects the Gamecocks have lost. Here’s the bottom line with Sandidge, though, something has kept him from committing to South Carolina when all signs pointed toward it. It looked like he was going to do it in August and at various other points and he’s held off for whatever reason. I told you a few weeks back that it’s been a roller coaster for the staff and their confidence has gone from high to not-to-high back-and-forth at different times and here heading into the stretch run, things are no different.
I can tell you that as of last night, South Carolina felt it was in good shape after checking into the situation a little deeper. I can tell you that Sunday morning that was not the case 100 percent. This is what major recruiting battles are all about, though. Georgia is factor and obviously the Bulldogs have the No. 1 class, played for all the marbles, etc. The Gamecocks have been up there the entire time, though, and while I would give the edge to UGA defensive line coach Tray Scott having the better individual relationship with Sandidge in terms of a specific coach, I would give the edge to South Carolina in terms of having the better overall relationship.
This one is going to be interesting, so let’s discuss what happens if the Gamecocks don’t get him. It would essentially mean that South Carolina got shutout on all Power 5-level defensive linemen in the Carolinas. That’s certainly not something that can happen on an annual basis at USC as the two-state area annually has a slew of talent at the position. One cycle isn’t going to kill the position and this staff does an excellent job of evaluating and bringing in players that can get it done, but that’s absolutely a talent pocket to have to exploit if you are South Carolina. With all that being said, I am not saying Sandidge is going to Georgia. In fact, I still give the edge to the Gamecocks, but it’s closer than anyone anticipated and the Bulldogs are a definite factor when you consider all of the intel.

I was just saying maybe he should shoot for a 10-15 minute daily podcast instead of 35-40. Otherwise, I’m with gatorhata on this one...2-3 days a week, especially during the off-season.

The only way he would wind up going there would be because of grades. It is on his official visit list though.
Posted on 1/29/18 at 8:00 pm to Dawgfan77
What happens if we get more recruits than we can sign. Imagine Campbell, Bush, Sandidge, Walker, and O'Neal all committed to UGA, on top of David and Walthour? Unlikely, but we would be stuck.
Posted on 1/29/18 at 8:08 pm to HTDawg
I bet somebody is going to be on the outside looking in. I find it very interesting that some of our lower ranked guys were the ones that didn’t commit early.
Posted on 1/29/18 at 8:50 pm to Dawgfan77
They did commit early. They were asked/voluntold not to sign in December.
