You bolded the part about his grades and how he read on a 5th grade level. The article clearly states that all of that has changed and he's doing great in school but you didn't mention that part, so your post was fake news because it was 1/2 truth. .
This is from one of your own posters on the Georgia 247 site:

I have a friend that works inside the Bama program. Told me yesterday Joseph was number two on their board at corner behind Jobe. Also told me that Campbell is now their top guy at that position. I asked him about Taylor-Stuart and he said they would have to miss on some other guys before they would take him. He said that Naadab would have started day one for them next year. His transcript looks really bad though and that's why they did not send him a letter of intent right away. He was really surprised that he flipped to Georgia because he committed to Bama after his Georgia visit.
His post isn't VIP so you can read it for yourself
Again, I'm pissed at our mods and "insiders" for not bringing his grades up before all this happened because it makes them look really bad, but at this point it's being reported by people from all over.

You need to get up with GTown.
He'll take off to Athens for anything that says deal

In people's defense, grade issues always put reporters and mods in a tough spot, IMO. On one hand, it is real information that impacts the way the cycle unfolds, but on the other hand, they are 17/18 year old kids and mentioning grades leads to lots of disparaging remarks about them filling up message boards.
Those guys also have to protect their sources and relationships. Even just reporting certain things (grades, character, etc) can easily be misconstrued as trashing a kid. In the case of a reporter, that can close off a source. In the case of a school, it can damage a recruiting pipeline.
In this case, I think it's most indicative of two differing ways of handling early signing, and to some degree a different level of risk tolerance based on other players in the class at each school. Both Bama and UGA feel good about Tyson Campbell. Bama having Jobe on board already allowed them to slow play and be extra cautious regarding academics. UGA made the choice to be more aggressive here and to tolerate more risk. We will see how it plays out. Best of luck to the kid.

This... also, as I mentioned previously, Bama already has at least one potential risk in Barmore that they took a LOI from yesterday... there is only so much room for that kind of risk right now... With the hard cap of 25/year, risk management is going to be part of the game that they really didn't have to worry about as much in years past.

I do think their are some transcript concerns. My take is our staff thinks he will still qualify. If not, maybe he will go to JUCO for a year and be in next year’s class. Since, we have 3 DBs that are Seniors,I sure hope he qualifies. Sentell did say he heard BAMA did not send him an LOI for December yesterday. I do think BAMA was suprised he went ahead and signed with us though.

Oh I get it. But like I said last night they had no problem mentioning Eyabi Anoma and Christian Barmore's grade situations a couple weeks ago. I would have preferred they just kept quiet and not even mentioned his grades. It doesn't hurt to just admit you got whipped once in a while.

This wasn't the first time our staff made a questionable call in this class. We slow played Luke Ford in favor of Dominick Wood-Anderson and it cost us big time.

Absolutely. He seems to be a great kid.

I agree with everything you said. I think two interesting caveats to consider are that Bama is having to take a slightly smaller class than UGA this year, increasing the level of selectivity they have to exhibit. Additionally, in state talent for Alabama this year is very minimal. We have seen Georgia handle the recruitment of in state kids much differently than OOS kids in light of early signing. Fortunately, the foundation of our class has been in state. Same isn't true for the tide, and I do think that is a factor here.

Side note, I had no idea they went out of business. Apparently it's been two years now.

You are being too generous. In-state talent in Alabama this year is abysmal.
We average around 6-7 in-state kids in every class since Saban has been here.
We have 2 this year, with 1 of them being a Blueshirt TE.

Jesus... what years were you at UGA... I'm not entirely certain that we aren't long lost twins.

2008-2012
Had to be more selective than Nick Saban with grade challenged corner backs regarding who I took to Last Resort. Broke college student was an understatement. Haha.

Antar is verbally committed to Missouri but no LOI is in.
Michael is uncommitted, but 100% of the crystal balls are for brick haley.
I was wrong. Antar and Michael Thompson are not related.
I just saw that Antar had not turned in a LOI and assumed that they were going in together (after finding out more about Haley's future in CoMo).
They went to different high schools together :)

Honest mistake... two Thompsons both from St. Louis, both committed to Missouri. Works out though... definitely don't have any real interest in Antar, but Michael looks very good... any highlight videos of *just* defense? Too much OL play in there...
