We played this season at 73 scholarship players...then take in redshirts and injuries 8-4 from boom and company is even more impressive

I think 2012 we played the SECCG at 69 scholarship players... But that was with an established coach and a lot of leadership. That's good work for sure. South Carolina was easily the best team we played in the east. I'm *not* going to miss Hurst on your roster. I'm also not looking forward to the early road trip to Columbia next season... I think it may legitimately be a tougher out than the road trip to Baton Rouge next year, just with Bentley in year 3 and talent starting to build on the roster there. USC fans should be feeling positive about the direction things are going... particularly relative to UT and UF. Just don't lose to Kentucky next year dammit...

Do what now?

I've been posting on this board for over a year and have never said anything remotely close to trolling.

I’m not sure how your posts are viewed as trolling either. I feel like most of us appreciate your input on the GSB.

Yeah... not that the 18 downvotes for Airdawg and the 16 or so upvotes for Tidesaint don't already tell the story here, but this is clearly a gross misunderstanding by a poster who doesn't frequent the crootin' thread that much. At no point did he say that it *was* the case that Bama wouldn't take Joseph's LOI, just that it was the current talking point amongst the Bama "experts". Ultimately, it is what it is. It could legitimately be true, and Kirby's willing to take a slight risk on Nadab, where Bama maybe can't afford to do so due to other guys they're already doing it with (see: Barmore, potentially others). It could also be complete horseshite sour grapes (tend to think this is closer to the truth, but we're all biased here).

I'll personally vouch for TS based on his history, not just here in this thread, but in his willingness to accept Dawg posters over in the Bama thread as well. Not a troll - at least to our fanbase (Auburn/LSU... frick em... don't care. ).

Team allegiances not withstanding ('aints ), TS is good peoples.

frick that South Carolina game with a bent rusty fork... I went with a friend to catch the UF/LSU game (free tix) while I was living down in Orlando. Sat in a bar in Gainesville only to get ragged on mercilessly as we proceeded to shite ourselves and then roll around in it.

Brick has done well with coaching Dline at Mizzou and is on the list of possible hires. I think the Thompson thing would just be a bonus not why we are hiring the guy.

Wow, never heard of the dude but he sounds like a potential homerun hire for OLB coach even if he doesn't bring over any current recruits.

He has a long history coaching and recruiting that Midwest/Texas area. Back at Tech during 2002-03, he coached Keyaron Fox, Daryl Smith, and Ricardo Wimbush. Color me impressed indeed.

"I'm not trying to rain on y'alls parade"

Question: If you were trying to rain on our parade, what would you have posted?

BTW, many schools have athletes with reading/academic problems but Alabama admits regular students that can't read. Forest Gump fit in well there. .

Go Dogs and the weather ar my parade is absolutely beautiful.

Rosendo Louis as a backup plan who's I enrolling early. 13 of our 20 signers today are EEs

Glad you took Louis from FSU!

It's always good to get those EE's so they can get a head start on learning the system and get in a college S&C program!

So I stopped paying attention after KJ went to Clemson, apparently I stopped too early lol.

Man if we could pull Bush, Ford, Reese and Thompson I think we would be in the running for one of the best classes of all time. In what was supposed to be a "down" year. Amazing.

I was getting worried you had your hand stuck in a beaver trap.....Those things are nearly impossible to get away from once they have you.

Oh and I owe you a beer. And everyone else owes you a beer.

I'm not sure where you get your information from (and it's none of my business), but thanks for bringing it here; you're obviously very well informed.

I am not taking credit for this as mine, it belongs to user (Faceplant). He posted it in the 19' needs thread.

I thought it was hilarious though...

"Whenever Kirby buys a new truck first thing he does is remove the steering wheel. because Kirby Smart has never once lost control of anything

At kirbys house they don't refer to it as sex. It's "egg recruiting"

Kirbys wife decorated their entire bedroom in red. Not for team pride, but because Kirby Smart doesnt handle no contact periods well at all

Kirbys great great great great great great great great great great great grandfather, Hezekiah Smart, was appointed by Noah to recruit two of every animal

When Kirby Smart was single, he never called it "dating". He told girls he was preparing them for the draft

Kirby Smart had to buy a plantation outside of Athens. Because after every in-home the parents always wanted to play for him too

Kirby Smart doesnt recruit in the state of Georgia anymore. Whenever kids turn 18 now they all have to register for selective service

Kirby once went out and got drunk one night on a recruiting trip down in Miami and accidentally woke up with a 942 man roster

Every 4yr old boy alive gets their hair cut like Kirby Smart's. It's not the other way around

Kirby has Jon Gruden stop by the house every night just before his son's bedtime to analyze his brushing motion

Kirby Smart announced that he intends to focus heavily on recruiting the state of Florida next year. UF, FSU, and Miami are currently in talks of merging so that they are able to field a complete team

There was concern earlier this year that high school kids all across the south were kneeling before games because of the national anthem. They were actually all praying that Kirby Smart would show up to watch them play"
