I imagine we'd use Fields in place of Godwin in the WildDawg, particularly in RZ situations.

Fields would get playing time if they don't redshirt him. He's too good to keep on the sidelines. He would probably get a lot of read option snaps, red zone packages and designed drives for him similar to DJ.

Does Fields want to be a guy who plays half a dozen snaps a game for the next three years?

Exactly where we should use him! An accurate qb who is as mobile as Fields should be running the Wild Dawg

Y'all realize he could be running the offense? JS lol

Eason may stay. I've heard a few places it not. All far away if he goes. I'm not getting into that. Some chatter I've read on it is bs.

I have dreams that JF is an upperclassmen, he's leading us down the field on a drive, and someone leans over and asks me if he is going to sign with UGA. I'm cold, ill, just shelled out a fortune in which all credit will go to a mythical diabetic fatass, on a pagan orgy holiday........

Time to put the hammer down

Trey Hill

Was silent since Kirby-que.
His interest was real in Auburn and we weren't thrilled with some remarks, but the Pitt Boss is too good Imo.

Never heard he wavered, though with their need, I was thinking he'd go. Seems the Dye cabin doesn't work anymore?

Eta- there will be attrition and some home visits aren't being "advertised".

If he ends up at UGA, a redshirt makes sense to get a year of separation between him and Fromm. He may beat Fromm, although I find that hard to imagine.

As for Trey Hill, he would be a huge pickup, literally and figuratively.

I've heard from some folks that Eason really does love it here and it's far from automatic that he leaves.

Plus he won't play until 2019 (at a D1 program) even if he does transfer. He could easily stay at UGA one more year, then go somewhere as a Grad Transfer after next season and would probably still have a lot of places he would start.

As I've mentioned before, there are plenty of great examples we could use to show Fields that Redshirting works, especially for QBs with mobility.

Not disputing what you are saying...just asking:

Would that be a smart move on his part? I mean, he would be able to play 1 year. (Or 2?) He would be learning a new offense and have very little playing time in the last 2 years? (This year and next)
He would have a lot of pressure to perform and perform well, while learning a new system, coaches etc.

Eason should leave. He has NFL talent and needs to be able to prove it. The 3rd year is when Stafford shined. He needs to go earn that money.

Even Stafford still was a work in progress his junior season.

He was polished the minute the regular season was over.
