We didn't, and that's the point. We waited way too long to recruit him. Then again, we would have turned him into a receiver.

Hard to believe that Fields would go elsewhere. He has been one of our best recruiters.

It says more that Dan Mullen hasn’t followed Fields back on twitter. If he really wanted him bad enough or thought there was a real chance he would’ve reached out first thing.
I mean he coulda reached out over the phone but twitter is most likely with recruiting the way it is now.

And Fields is not even his type of QB. He is not a run first QB.

Not to nitpick, but I think Fields would qualify as everyone's type of QB...He's a faster DAK with a better arm

But running QB power runs is not what Fields want to do. He knows that won't get him to the NFL.

QB situation is unchanged from when he committed. He isn't looking elsewhere. He is committed to UGA and actively recruiting some of our biggest targets to join him.

Kirby has pulled some offers but hasn’t lost a recruit by being out recruited. Sure we’ve not gotten all the guys we wanted but Fields is committed to us, Kirby will make sure we don’t lose him.
Even if we do, is it that big of a deal? Jake Fromm has been a stud as a freshman this season. Next year his supporting cast will be better, except for losing Wims. Sure having a dual threat QB would be wonderful and would make our team better but it’s not the end of the world.

So let me get this straight...UF hires Dan Mullen who has been mediocre at best at Ms St and now all of a sudden, Fields will flip to UGA's biggest rival to a mediocre coach?
