Assuming autocorrect for Becton? Unless you're saying *next one* and are calling your shot? eh... eh?

If so, definitely my assumption as well, just was trying to be inclusive (and failing by leaving out Azeez)... DE and OLB projections in the recruiting world don't often mean a ton.

What’s the recovery percentage of something like that? I hate it for the kid, seems like a really awesome family. Will he get back to 100% for football?

I mean... no one can say for certain, but most people don't seem to be very concerned... Between surgery + rehab... would assume 100% return unless there is some kind of major setback. 3 months is a while to not throw a football at all, so timing/touch might be off for a bit when he arrives (assuming he enrolls in spring), but wouldn't anticipate it impacting his game long term.

Interesting on KJ... you think it's the dad angle or just unlikely to pick us?

Just guessing he picks someone else. I'm sure we're after him hard, but doubt we'd hold a spot for him.

I don't really understand where the KJ optimism is coming from. I guess just talk that some of these guys are hearing? Dude is still 100% Clemson with 10 predictions on 247. I know that doesn't mean alot but nobody is putting out a prediction to say otherwise

TIFIW...

Poster over on 247 has been right pretty much consistently throughout this cycle... Fields, White, Cook, etc... typically well in advance of the "popular opinion".

It’s TRUE we not done. With the early signing period coming soon, the decks will be shuffled a little before 12/20 to make room for more BIG DAWGS!!!

We going Hard for the number one class. There’s a nice friendly rivalry among our coaches that’s pushing them harder on the recruiting trails.

I’ll say it now look for about 9-10 new names to be added to our commit list before all the dusk settles. Yes that means a few decommits coming.

Jesus... it's fricking football porn. This might be against the TOS of the boards Crow...

I mean, it's all incredible, but how about at 5:28ish right after he makes a stupid cut to embarrass a guy at the LOS... getting chased down, guy tries a shoe string tackle... senses/feels it... high steps to keep the balance and keep going.

His yards gained after contact are bordering on retarded as well.

I'm still of the mind that 34 should be off limits, but dammit if he doesn't look good wearing it. Has there been any discussion on what # he'll rock in red and black?

Only chance is significant reshuffling of recruiting rankings IMO. I agree... was just copy/pasting the full comment. I felt the 9-10 additional with reshuffling was probably the most interesting.

Because I'm lazy....who/what positions does Ohio State have locked up that puts them so far ahead of us (and errbody else)?

Or maybe if a few people flip from Ohio State. I just looked at the rankings and was surprised at some teams with avg player ratings as us. Florida has a really good class going right now.

Posted about it yesterday I think in this thread, but they have just no filler at all more or less:
Four 5*s
7 in the top 50 composite
Only 2 commits outside the top 247 at all, one of which is Master Teague - a very underrated RB.
Top flight Juco DT on the way as well (#3 overall Juco, #2 DT).

Honestly, it's impressive freaking work: LINK

Thanks!

It is pretty impressive, especially when you consider very few of their commits are even remotely "local" to them.

We are recruiting kids who are freak athletes with great attitudes. Going to be a fun ride for the next few years.

That's true... I just am not sure who from that class would even be a candidate to flip, nor who would be "taking their croots".

Yeah, our avg player rankings are definitely on the low side for what we've got going on right now overall. Camarda puts a big dent in it (P/K just isn't going to be a highly rated pick up). Additionally, some of the bottom end "rated" guys are pretty low. Our staff seems to really like the 3* guys we have committed though... Ultimately, I'll trust their judgement.

Working our way from the bottom up:

Camarda - Shouldn't be here... according to the site that does a better job with specialists (escaping my mind right now), he's the #1 Punter and like the #5 Place kicker... suffice it to say, he's elite. Wish 247/composite would do something better to account for this... but not that big of a deal

Becton - I really don't know much about this guy. His footage seems slow-ish from what I've seen, but he seems really strong, and apparently athletic enough to play DE *and* WR for his school. Virginia a ripe spot for underrated players...

Wildgoose - I don't know what he did, but he must have murdered dudes when he came to one of our camps. Lots of love for this guy from our staff. Also, going to be part of the all-name team

Fitzpatrick - Just look at his offer list. TEs don't get a lot of love in general... kid is a baller and we want 2 this cycle if we can get them

Walthour - Another one I don't know enough about. Americus and others have said we're really solid with him I believe. Out of Liberty county, some connection there to LeCounte most likely.

Condon - 6'7" 300lb OT... frick it. I'll trust Pittman on this one. (Also, UGA family I believe)

Brule - Offer list > rating - Versatile defender with a lot of talent. Having to fight off hometown LSU for him still...

After this, you've got 4*s - of which I'd say several of the "low 4*" are pretty underrated... Chris Smith is better than the "36th rated player in GA" for example. Ericson, I dunno as much about, but smarter minds than me have said he's got OG/OC written all over him, with OT (backup) upside.

Tannor is another offer list > rating candidate...

Wyatt was a bit unheralded last year, kinda more of the same this year. Our staff loves him and he wants to be here. Good enough for me.

Elijah Moore is not having a great year thus far... could see his rating drop substantially given that he was mostly rated on a lot of "potential" due to minimal usage his junior season. Still like his footage from the camp circuits, but not sure if it's there on the field or not. Our interest in JaMarr Chase and/or other receivers might indicate either lack of solid commitment from Moore or some uncertainty at least? Maybe not though... I never try to predict attrition

Above that, you're in golden territory anyways... ratings match the prospects more or less.

Going to be interesting to see how it holds together, between lackluster season, chaos created by Mac, etc. If Corral decommits (he's been weird on Twitter lately and UF fans have been seemingly trolling him), and they lose a guy like JaMarr Chase to us or LSU (not sure how serious we are other than the Brule connection, but LSU seems in)... it starts to take a big hit quickly. Would drop roughly 25 points with 2 recruits and their avg recruit rating would drop a full point to 89.4 *before* backfilling with likely lower rated guys.

ETA: re-Florida... Bama has two staff members visiting Copeland (their second highest recruit right now) and probably have a decent chance of flipping... Escambia/Pensacola has a lot of Gators fans but is only just across the border from Alabama as well... plenty of Tide sway as well. With how Bama's class has been this year - a little slower to get "Roll"-ing... could see them pulling out the stops to land some flips. Hopefully Smart and Co are already on this as well. Would prefer that attrition happens from our competitors if Bama's gonna get rich off of other teams' croots.

Florida could very realistically lose their top three offensive commits:

Matt Corral, QB - somewhere in the great American west.

Jacob Copeland, WR - Bama is giving him the full court press

Ja'Marr Chase, WR - teammate of Aaron Brule. They could both end up at LSU, or here if we decide to take a third WR and/or back off on E. Moore
