Yep, complete nonsense.

Yeah, Zeus is a dawg. His recruitment is shut down. The "Bama flip" rumor started when Chris Kirschner w/ the AJC wrote in an article that he "know for a fact" that Zamir told bama coaches he was coming to the Tide the night before his commitment.
Kirschner is one of the biggest hacks in the industry, and that report, along with conjecture that Zeus flips after the Cook commitment are fake news.

I know the running gag around these parts is "post less"... but you have most assuredly been in the "post more" category around here of late...

Monteg is certainly an intriguing individual. One can only hope to know him and learn his ways.

What say you Americus? Any recruiting news you’d like to share?
Posted on 10/27/17 at 7:47 am to jcolding41
Well Justin Fields responded to Cooks commitment and said they aren't even close to done. Sounds like good things are coming.

Wish we had more spots. Lot of talent getting left behind. I don't guess that's a problem, but it's something UGA recruiting hasn't seen in my time around. Hoped that would happen one day, but didn't see it in this class.
Some '19 guys are going to see some '18 guys with a hat on the table, but no LOI. Expecting '19 to add another five star and explode in a few months.
Not all committed now will sign. That's not unusual for any class.

Hopefully Salyer, Hill, Otis, Henry, etc are next to follow.

The guys left behind bit....
Not saying they're not takes or anything negative about those kids. Numbers are tight and might change.

I hope we flip Robert Cooper. Dude is a beast...
Posted on 10/27/17 at 8:17 am to Kneehigh
My reservation with Cooper is that I'm not sure how much we could use him against teams that don't huddle. That's most teams at this point. He's like 370 and only 6' tall.

Was that broken finger on fields throwing hand?

You've got a bit of a log jam of 2018 guys rated as OLB and/or DE that I'm not certain where they all "legitimately" project... will take a stab below though:
Committed
Adam Anderson - OLB
Caleb Tannor - ?
Jaevon Becton - DE - potential project/RS if I had to guess?
Targets
KJ Henry - OLB
Otis Reese - ILB
Channing Tindall - ?
Micah Parsons (hearing he's no longer really in the cards, something about maturity level and parents want him close to home... assuming true, this is probably wise, as Athens and the ACCPD/Campus Police are not terribly forgiving. Can't remember if I had that discussion here or elsewhere.)
And of course, that doesn't touch Aaron Brule, who while rated as a S has been rumored to play anywhere, but ILB ("the coaches see me somewhere in the box" was something he said in his recent interview) has been rumored as well. Nor does it touch some of the guys that may be rated as DTs that end up being more hybrid DT/DE guys in our 3-4.
Good problems to have... guys that are versatile but not necessarily "tweeners" (see: Walter Grant).

Yeah... it appeared to be a clean break if you saw the x-ray... expectation is it'll put him out of commission for 12 weeks post surgery (including rehab)... this kinda sucks for him, as it likely takes baseball off the table for him given the timing on when practices/games start. May or may not push him toward enrolling early. Good with it either way though. Certainly would love to have him on campus early, but giving up last semester of Senior year of HS is not something to be done super lightly... it was a fun time in my recollection. Not that UGA wasn't... just different.

Just loved the Putin meme. Seems he and Kirby get what they want.
That's a joke guys
Brule at Star
Tannor could play inside or outside
Don't see KJ coming to UGA
Tindall- ILB
And you forgot Azeez
Azeez and Anderson are your OLB's

What’s the recovery percentage of something like that? I hate it for the kid, seems like a really awesome family. Will he get back to 100% for football?
Posted on 10/27/17 at 8:52 am to fibonaccisquared
Becton will play with his hand in the dirt at DE, not OLB. Dude is already 250 and will probably be 275+ with a year in the S&C program. A lot like David Marshall.

Interesting on KJ... you think it's the dad angle or just unlikely to pick us?
