Cooper visiting this weekend.

FSU fans won't be happy about that. Cooper is a need. ??

If I was James Cook, I don't think I'd be intimidated by Holyfield or Herrien, especially given his different skill set. I'd look at the role Swift is playing now and see a pretty appealing opportunity.
I've been VERY impressed with Holyfield. And let's not forget about White. I agree about Herrien, though. I like the kid, and think he's a done a good job for us, but he just can't hang with the others.

FSU fans better know that maybe one Grayson kid might stick. That pipeline turned quick, as did FSU's staff's message about just watch UGA play this year.
FSU is screwed. The QB Whisperer is talking to himself in Tallahassee.

I love to see negative recruiting blow up in somebody's face.

Big guy that plays with an attitude. Would love to flip him. How realistic would it be to flip him?

60/40 us over Bama. Just a guess.
He's not going to FSU

Cook is a much different player than Holyfield, though.
Next year, you're likely looking at Swift/White moving into RB1 and RB2 roles in some order, like Nick and Sony are currently. That leaves Swift's current role open, and while Holyfield has run the ball really well, that doesn't really line up with his strengths.

Holy shite... dat BamUga bump is REAL.
The Bama bump alone can't account for it...

This may be a *bit* of an overreaction. Gotta look back and see where that puts him... maybe not?

In 247's own rankings (not composite) this means he jumped Trevor Trout and TK Chimedza already... that may be a bit much for a prospect that is still going to take some serious development, but I suppose it's largely based on potential... at 6'5" 290, he's not carrying a lot of bad weight and he's dominating guys... he's got room to become a much stronger athlete and improve on technique quite a bit.
Interesting to say the least.

True. I understand that Holyfield is more of a power runner and not a "pass catcher" as such.

Those are good points...and very valid. If I were Cook, I would worry about Swift getting all the Michel/Swift role. I a'm sure he is capable, but perhaps Kirby prefers to keep three primary backs rotating to keep them fresh. I sure hope we can get Holyfield the ball more, though. he just looks too good to sit the bench, and I'm afraid he feels the same. I'm sure Evander will be in his ear about going somewhere else.

The problem I have with all of the Holyfield dickriding that is going on lately is that the kid hasn’t made a single strong run in any game before a defense has been worn down. I understand that he has had limited opportunities in the first half, but he hasn’t done anything with them. He looks great against a gassed and defeateddefense, I need to see him do something before the rout is on.

You could also say that he has run behind a 2nd or 3rd team OL and offense as well. So if you say he would go against a better defense he would also be doing that with a better Offense.

Why are we discussing Holyfield in the recruiting thread... let's make another thread if needed... back on topic.

Who's riding his dick? He's really good for a 5th string running back.
We're talking about ability to be the number 3 option in an offense, not run for 1,000 yards.

As far as I know, I am the only one talking about Holyfield. However, you are correct. There is no doubt. But from my viewpoint, he looks good. he runs behind his pads with power, and looks very good. I am not saying he is the do all and end all. I am saying he looks very, very good.

I understand that, and i would love to see him get the opportunity as well. but he will get very few while Chubb, Michel and Swift are playing so well here. It's not really like he has had a chance to do what you are asking. he just has a lot of talent in front of him. I have a feeling he would love the opportunity, too.

Fib is right. I responded before I read all the way through. It's a legit statement by Dawg, though. if you want to discuss it, go ahead and make another thread. It's an interesting topic.

All good... I could see how we got there, but for those who are craving recruiting updates, there's a little sadness that comes from a new post on this thread only to find it's totally irrelevant.
Now... back to dem croots. Come on down Adam Anderson...

Why do you have a problem? Celebrate the best 4th string rb in the nation.
