Good day. Kid has the tools they were looking for. Thought of him maybe playing Star since we offered him.

I could definitely see that.

FWIW, very similar build to Roquan Smith (he was originally recruited as an OLB)
No one on our roster is comparable to that dude. Roquan is what a 5Star recruit is supposed to become. He's that damn good.

And to think we have Dan Quinn to thank for him

Worried we're taking the low hanging fruit. With this win, I think we can strike out and go after some bigger fish with confidence.

Kid just moved up to a 4 star on Rivals, snuck inside the top 250 and has 30+ offers. I hear what you are saying but I don't think he is some head scratching offer.

Brule worked out for the coaches 2x and they were blown away by him. He looked solid in this video here: LINK
Not sure what you are expecting...for relevant, current, comparison sake, Roquan was a 4* with a 5.9 RR rating on Rivals and listed at 6'0" 203lbs, Brule is a 4* 5.8 RR and is listed at 6'2" 205lbs.
If the coaches see him as that same role (it has been reported that they sold him on this) then I'm inclined to trust them as they have been pretty damn good at building up talent and having quality depth.

I'm going to trust kirby and tucker on the evaluation here. These are the same guys that have turned JR Reed from a Tulsa transfer into a big time player and aaron Davis from a decent starter to a guy with a potential NFL future. They can identify and develop talent

To be 100% fair here, Kirby has essentially admitted that they didn't know what they were getting with JR. That he's been able to contribute as quickly as he can is absolutely a testimony to their development skills, but maybe a little less so on the identification, as it sounds like they were taking him on sheer athletic talent per his previous comments.
Either way, I 100% agree with the first statement... this isn't some last minute offer... they identified the guy, have had him work out for us twice now, and they like what they see...

You think WE believe that, Jofaux?

Staff wanted him. Was ranked lower when they first came across him actually. Fits what they're looking for. He's had a committable offer since they were mailed.
They are really particular in evals. Tucker and Smart wanted Brule really bad. We may be done with DB's if Wildgoose is staying.

There are times where I think you can't possibly have worse takes on anything, and then you post again. It's uncanny.

From what I have read Brule is projected as a inside linebacker.

safety/star

Right now kind of a jack of all trades. Star definitely seems plausible, but I think we've pitched him based on Roquan Smith's ILB spot... similar size/build/speed... will require a lot of development from a mental perspective to live up to that kind of responsibility once he gets here.

Rusty Mansell says definitely DB. That's what I'm going off

Totally fair, and that's the position that he's ranked at so it's the easiest to draw a parallel to. Fortunately, I think he's got the skillset to fit in multiple positions and this staff doesn't seem to have a problem with that (see: Zo at star). I think they'll see what they've got in him and then use him where he can be most valuable. ILB might be tough to break through if Rice and McBride live up to their billing.
