TIFWIW but the following post is 100% hearsay.
I have a client in Fort Valley, so I asked many locals about Jackson. The general consensus is that he is a Dawg. However, he has been pretty secretive about the whole process and is keeping his decision private. The fact that he set his commitment date so soon (i.e. not waiting until NSD) has almost everyone confident he is headed to Athens.
Fort Valley is an extremely small (pro UGA) town. The economy revolves around the factory, so his commitment dominates the water cooler conversation. I would be remiss if I didn't also mention two guys I talked to felt that since he is keeping his decision to himself, it may be because he plans to shock everyone by committing somewhere unexpected. One guy mentioned OSU and FSU but, by his own admission, that pure was speculation based on their recent successes. The other guy felt if it was UGA, he would have slipped and said something to someone by now, since UGA is the hometown favorite.
TL;DR: King Kearis may or may not commit to UGA August 19th. Most people in Fort Valley think he will.
All that being said, can someone that follows recruiting closer answer if OSU or FSU are even in the picture?

I'm pretty sure Auburn is the biggest threat for Jackson right now.
He is trying to sell the ole "package deal" thing with Fields, but those never really pan out. Definitely get the feeling he is a dawg lean

I don't have a membership so I can't say the reason behind it, but Rusty just changed his CB on Dean from USCjr to foggy...

Feels like a few weeks ago we were praising Dean, and now he's not even a take at the little brother school?

It's been a weird couple of weeks in his recruitment. Texas seemed like they were making a run for him, then they suddenly tell him he can't visit and they part ways. Around that time one of their insiders said we were slow playing him and that's why he was showing interest in UT. Not long after that he gets a lot of CBs to USCe and it looks like the rumors of us preferring other options are true. Now it sounds like USCe might not even be an option on July 31. He's a solid player, has to be more to this story.

Corral just got a ton of CBs to Florida. Its looking better and better that we getting Fields IMO
