Early this season it scared the shite out of me when we kept moving Schunk to the mound to close out games. Guess it worked out. Stricklin still needs to be fired, though.

Just a tough game to watch. Our pitching with 2 outs was pathetic and our hitters were chasing pitches allllll game. Hopefully they clear their heads and get ready for tomorrow’s game.

I would rather we blow chunks in Hoover and wreck shop in Athens. This tournament is meaningless as far as I and most others are concerned. If we suck this week because we’re looking ahead to next, that’s fine by me.

Bad baseball is contagious. I dont buy into punting games and then just turning things on a week later.
If this team doesnt turn things around today and at least play well, I wont have any confidence in a regional win, no matter who we play.

At 2pm yesterday, I was going to write a post about todays game being a play in game for a national seed, but then North Carolina and Texas Tech went on to lose to crap teams, so I no longer think that a loss today will totally kill our chances. It will just depend on teams like Clemson, North Carolina, and Stetson, but I wouldnt bet on a top 8 seed with a loss today.
*We also lost 3 top 50 wins when Georgia Tech lost to Pittsburgh, so our resume is getting worse even without losses.
