I think it was the right decision to send him. The throw had to be on the money. The catcher did an excellent job hanging on to the ball. Arkansas tried to be aggressive with the base running, and it just didn't pay off.

It was a good play on both ends, for sure. The throw beat the runner by 2 and a half steps. Like I said, I'm glad they sent him. Sealed a victory for us.

Dawgs will play at 10:30 AM our time on Wednesday morning as the #3 seed in the SEC Tournament.
Barring some crazy upset in Hoover, every team we face from here on out will be NCAA regional quality

Oh and I’m not near RPIs or scores this weekend, but I will say that right now we are top 4 with this win. We are a national seed unless we go two and out in Hoover against crap teams.

Very good draw for us. That game could be a play in for the NCAAs so both will be throwing everything and everyone just to win.

Updated the OP with hitting and pitching stats.
Question moving forward will be who our #4 starter is: CJ Smith, Ryan Webb, or Tony Locey
If Tucker Bradley can get over the hamstring by Wednesday, we have a pretty formidable lineup; CJ Smith has done a good job coming in at CF late in the year and hitting well

They are in a better position now after this past weekend, but the SEC has 12 teams in the top 43 RPI. Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Auburn are the only true locks at this point since the conference wont be getting 12 teams in.

I guess I just thought that if they were projected to be in before this weekend, getting a sweep against a ranked opponent only helps.

It all depends on how many SEC teams the committee wants to put in. All 12 teams in the tournament have somewhat of a case. The six I mentioned earlier all locks. What if Vandy loses their first game and teams like LSU and Kentucky make runs throughout the week?
Things are so close between teams right now, no one would feel safe with a one and done on Tuesday.
