If the light comes on for guys like Kevin SMith, Locey, Proctor, and Cairnes in the pen, we have a chance. But I stand by my post last night: we have good bats, decent starting pitching, and a wildly inconsistent bullpen. We need to be good across the board to pass muster in the SEC, but it's at least encouraging that we are beating the teams we should be competing with. This team should honestly be 19-4 and undefeated in conference play if not for a couple of bad outcomes against Bama and Charleston Southern.

TonLoc, Kristo, and Shunk could be a solid back end. Smith has shown flashes. if they keep winning and get confidence, you never know.

I think we will be in the others receiving votes category. Need to beat a ranked team like A&M on Thursday to prove we should be ranked

They’re gaining confidence, sure, but they don’t lack talent but consistency. They need to prove that they can go out and earn wins (like today when Smith and Schunk came on to preserves webbs shutout). Interesting too that Locey started on Friday in place of Adkins. Something to watch moving forward

Our schedule starting on 4/5 to 4/22 is going to be brutal. That's where we are going to see if this team can grow a little more.

Dawgs ranked 23 and 24, respectively, in Collegiate Baseball and USA Today/Coaches Polls. Going to need a series win this weekend to show in D1 Baseball and Perfect Game, IMO

Night and day this game versus our previous loss at Charleston Southern. Gotta keep the momentum going against a ranked squad on Thursday. If you're in Athens or can make it out to Foley, be there these next few. Program finally trending in a good direction again.
