LeCounte has been awarded his 5th star. But only because they don't give out six.

I'm more worried about the taking on blockers in the slot aspect.

A slot WR might only be a couple inches taller, likely skinnier, and maybe less physical. Doubt that would make a big difference.

and I still want the bigger guy who can dominate that slot receiver.

There is no upside to being smaller if all else is equal. That's all I'm saying. You don't see Bama recruiting any 5'8" corners. There's a reason for that.

But all else is not equal. Otherwise he wouldn't turn heads in camps like this. Shorter folks are more likely to have that change of direction you often want in tight spaces. If he's a ball player and you use him correctly, then you want him.

Through out the camp circuit AJ Terrell has been possibly the best overall DB, Rivals bumped him up to their #1 CB and a 5 star. I've read he is being compared to Jalen Ramsey which is a great compliment, he seems to be trending towards Clemson and the bammers feel confident about him. Kirby is a relentless recruiter as we all know, I personally want AJ over Gibbs and I hope Smart can win him over. The state is loaded in the secondary this cycle compared to D-linemen for the 2016 class.

Terrell has been turning heads. He's a 5* on some sites.

I'm not talking about passing on Williams for some chump.

I remember thinking it odd that Kirby's first official offer he gave out was to a 2017 guy and thought he should have been more concerned with the immediate needs in the 2016 class.

I take it all back.....

What a move by Kirby. LeCounte is the man on and off the field.

I do not disagree. I think he's really talented.

As far as I'm aware, it's just Rivals. The same Rivals that has him at #8 nationally has LeCounte at #90... color me a bit skeptical.

How great is it that the debate between dawg fans right now is trying to figure out which elite player you're going to have to pass on? I mean who'd have thunk it.

Ultimately, I'll believe this class is possible when the ink is dried on the paper, but gotta like the hustle from the staff and the direction we're headed currently.

That's exactly what I was thinking when I was scrolling through this page.

At the end of the day, you can't be upset over adding a guy like Jamyest. The guy is a fricking ball player and if he were a few inches taller, he'd be a consensus 5 star.

A lot of our prospects dropped a lot. Jaden Hunter, William Poole, and Netori Johnson being the most notable. Not sure why Netori dropped so much but the others that made small drops was Jake Fromm and Demery and our target All purpose back Swift as well as Robert Beal and a few others. Most of those dropped because 4 players made huge jumps but the drop of the 3 noted seemed intentional and I had read Jaden Hunter played much better after the 1 on 1's but still dropped 100 spots.

He dropped because they added a few 5*s. They haven't redone the whole top 247 yet

If you consider his offensive abilities, maybe things aren't equal. The versatility is a good thing.
