I think JW sticks. He seems like the type to enjoy being "big man" of the class

Could also mean Gibbs is a turd and will be a busy HC he lacks work ethic thanks to being superior athletically to everybody but he really doesn't seem like that. Seem to be a really great kid.

So apparently USCe Heisman winner George Rogers is helping recruit Williams this weekend.

Is that even legal? Maybe we should get Herschel and Hines Ward to do some recruiting. Maybe Champ Bailey as well.

Have you not ever noticed them on the sidelines? You think they are there only to watch the game and Mark or Kirby never connected with those guys before an important recruiting weekend...

I asked whether it was legal according to the NCAA, not whether it happened. A lot of things happen that shouldn't.

Don't quote me but I don't believe former players can have contact with potential recruits on game days.

they can't police this if it is a rule...say DeAngelo walked up to Champ and initiated conversation.

Even if they don't talk, say a kid pretended to be Champ as a kid and he is standing on the same sideline as the guy. That's going to be pretty influential especially if Kirby is strongly going after said kid.

I've done some charity events with George and I feel pretty good about him not being able to do much more than show off his ring and tell a few stories.

Tell me it wouldn't be cool if you were being recruited? How many other schools can have a heavy weight Champ at their practice consistently?

I believe the rule is that you can't arrange for former players to speak to recruits as part of a visit or in home or something. But if a recruit "happens" to be in the same place and just strikes up a convo, good luck calling foul

Didn't Dez Bryant get in trouble for having a conversation with Deion Sanders?? I know he wasn't a recruit but you have to figure the rules would be way more stringent with concern to recruits.

I believe he got in trouble for lying about talking to Dion Sanders when the NCAA asked him about it.

He went to Deon's house for dinner if I remember correctly.

Seems there was an article about Shaquille O'Neal being at a LSU recruiting weekend talking to recruits. Maybe I was dreaming.

ETA I can't find it, so I am guessing I dreamed it.

We got a secondary violation a couple years ago when David Pollack was at a commitment announcement for a kid. Can't remember the player.

What's silly about those rules is, I can't talk to a recruit about my honest opinion of the UGA football experience, but some mouth breathing goatee sporting high school coach who never set foot at Bama can be in his ear all the time about it. I witnessed this first hand.

Not really, da cock homer J.C. Schubert(247) has Beal & Wyatt as SCe leans & Williams as 50/50 lol...

Odd how Wyatt was still a UGA lean after his SCe OV & he's at UF this weekend & he's somehow a Cock lean now.

That bunch over there are idiots, gonna be depressed when Beal & Wyatt stay & we flip JW...
