Once they lose Muschamp's D talent and now that Geoff Collins is gone, they're very very vulnerable in their one area of profound strength. Need to take advantage and go for the kill

I agree. I believe their entire first team could be out of the game with salmonella poisoning and we'd struggle with them more times than not.

Can somebody post a link or breakdown to who exactly we're still in play for/expected to get since the OP's target list is...well...slightly out of date

4* ATH Tray Bishop

4*/5* ATH Deangelo Gibbs

4* ILB Nate McBride

4* OLB Leonard Warner

4* OLB Markaviest Bryant

5* DL Aubrey Solomon

4* ILB Monty Rice (depending on who you believe, some claim he's still in play)

Could also see us try to flip Jamyest Williams from Carolina or a DB from Florida.

Nope, if you'd asked in the 90s I'd agree.

But from 11-13 we won 3 in a row. At that point what happened with spurrier vs goff is irrelevant. We lost in 14 because we were just completely and totally unprepared for what they did, not to mention we were held all day long but that's kinda irrelevant too since we'd have lost no matter what. 15 doesn't even need to be discussed. Last year we lost because UF had a very, very good defense and our offense was trash. If you look at the stat sheet we actually did pretty darn well, it's just they started around midfield every possession while we started around our 15. NOt gonna win many games like that.

The losses in 99, 2000, 2003, 2005, and 2006 I might say there was a bit of the psychological factor at work, but from 07-present I wouldn't say it played a factor.

Damn, if we even get half of that group!

Would be a hell of close for Kirby. I still don't think Jamyest is a DB, so I'd rather us go all out for Brini. JMO

Those three plus Solomon and I wouldn't even be mad about losing Jamyest and the rest.

My guess is we get:

Bishop
Gibbs
McBride
Warner
Bryant
And one or two surprises.

Need Bryant. Dynamic edge rusher to pair with Beal.

If we flip Jamyest, it's to use him in the same vein as McKenzie. He'll only ever top out as good as Malkom Parrish at his size in the SEC on defense but he could be better than iMac on O and ST.

Has Jamyest said whether he prefers to be on O or D?

Prefers D but I think everyone else sees his immense value on O and ST. He's Ace Sanders and iMac all over again but could be even better.

The only way he would be better is if he doesn't drop passes. No way will he be a better punt returner or getting into open space. If he do he will break all kinds of records.

Does UGA really want Jaymest? He doesn't really seem to fit what Smart wants in a corner. I'd take him take him and find a spot for him to contribute. Only if we have space after Warner, McBride, Solomon, Gibbs, Bishop, Bryant and Nico Collins though. And even then I would rather take a corner with size like Brini.

Yes we'd take him. Those others names aren't guaranteed either. Take em when you can get em
