Ouch.
Any other QBs we are targeting for 2018? Would like to pick one up but as Lawrence probably figured, we aren't exactly the most attractive place for an elite QB. I know that 2019 kid from GA looks pretty good too.

Harrison Bailey is a 2020 kid that already has an offer from almost every major program in the region. Not sure about a 2019 kid, though.

Chances are high that Clemson will secure a commitment from the top 3 players in the nation for 2018. Pure craziness

At least we are in a position to not be too broken up about it. It puts us on a nice schedule with Eason and Fromm.
Would have been nice to have him anyways though.

Add in Zamir, who has Clemson, UGA and UNC in hip top 3. I don't think a team has ever secured the top 3, but I could be wrong. It would be an impressive haul for Dabo

Yes they are.
He will still get all the first team reps in practice and voluntaries that he needs to be a backup, and will only have to go in if Eason gets hurt, burning the RS.
Plus, he'll have the added benefit of being the scout team QB vs our defensive 1's and that will make him even more prepared.
And if that Eason getting hurt scenario happens, and Fromm comes in and lights it up and steals the starting job, which is not uncommon in football, then we are all better off, right? But in this scenario, if he sucks, at least we know he sucks early, instead of later when we are stuck with him as our best option to start, right?
Everyone able to follow all that?

I guess a simpler way to put it... is EVERYONE is a redshirt, until they aren't.

I will be very surprised if Ramsey doesn't transfer as a graduate transfer. That would leave Eason and Fromm as the only 2 QBs on the roster with a scholarship.

Ok. So we will disagree. I just can't see Fromm getting a redshirt, IF we don't sign more than one QB this cycle. If we do sign another QB, all bets are off.

Honestly, even if Brice does transfer I'd like to see Jake redshirted, unless Eason goes down with a bad injury. No sense at all in burning a year of eligibility if Eason's helmet pops off one play or to get him 6 snaps of action in the 4th quarter against whatever FCS school we're playing next year.
