Yeah I should have realized that when I tried multiple different ways to word the connection that it probably wasn't a good idea to post. Oh well, rookie mistake.

Could Hayes committing be a bad sign for us with IW?

No harm no foul. As long as you preface stuff like that by telling people to take it with a grain of salt you're fine.

We would still take Wilson but aren't likely to get him. Have to take Hayes. He can help next year, and we desperately need someone who can

IMO...yes.I mean we need the depth, but I think Wilson pretty much said, thanks but no thanks.

And with the Rice fiasco, Im not exactly feeling the elite recruiting vibe.

I mean, as long as it's an improvement to Catalina.

D'Marcus Hayes - 3-star JUCO OT just committed.

We really needed that, probably safe to pencil him in at one of the tackle spots next year.

How we had a guy, all the insiders said he was going to UGA... even AU's guys wer conceding him to UGA...last official visit...ample playing time to be had....recruiting the guy forever....

LSU with Ed fricking Orgeron steals him at the last sec?

Ya thats not elite recruiting...its a clown fiesta.

One must simply assume something went down....a fiasco, if you will

I think so too, really looks like he changed his announcement date to coordinate with the other Michigan guys. This is still our best OL class I can ever remember though, and we still might try to find another JUCO or Grad Transfer to help out at one of the OT spots.

Call me an a-hole all you want, but the Catalina Wine Mixer hasn't exactly got me wanting another Juco LT.

Hopefully Im wrong.

Catalina was a grad transfer. He didn't play great but he was better than whoever the next man up was.

He didnt come from a JUCO, but your point still stands of not wanting to depend on a transfer/JUCO for one of the most important positions on the field.

There are 2 programs out of ~120 that are currently sitting with a better class than us, and the gap is wider between us and 4th than us and 2nd.

We aren't elite recruiting like bama but we're darn sure doing better than we have in a while.
