When I read "surprise", I think more along the lines of Juaun Williams, that OT from VA, Ben Davis, or Mack Wilson. But as you said TD, it's relative to the people on this thread as we follow it pretty closely. I'm just ready for the docs to be signed and to finally see what our '16 Freshman class looks like.

This. I think as good as D. Brown may end up being, he's not the make/break player for this class, simply because we have a pretty good corps of guys either already on campus or coming in, particularly if we end up snagging M. Carter as well. One or both of the big name LBs would be a *huge* coup to not only get them, but prevent them from going to Bama. Similarly, with the needs we have at OL, a 6-7 OT would be a massive get.

Definitely think that the term "surprise" is relative to how closely you're following. If you wait until NSD to check things out or only read an article or two, practically anything can be a surprise.

I'm still not getting my hopes up for Brown. I keep thinking about his twitter comment saying that "he's gonna piss off a bunch a people."

Anthony Dasher tweets that 247 2* CB/WR Jordon McKinney will be a preferred walk-on with us. 6'0" 188lbs.

I was thinking the same thing..possibly like Aaron Davis. Heck, depth is always nice to have regardless, especially when there are roster spots available. The hudl film shows he has a good knack for finding the ball.

Some of these articles that are out there are just terrible:

Primary remaining targets: Five-star DT Rashan Gray, five-star ILB Ben Davis, five-star ATH Mecole Hardman Jr., five-star WR Demetris Robertson

2/4... Haven't been in it with Rashan Gary for a while and I don't think anyone would call Ben Davis one of our "primary" remaining targets... do we want him? sure, but not a primary target as most feel he'd be unlikely.

Not directed at anyone in particular, but just a PSA: take any "new info" with a massive grain of salt. Nobody involved in the decision-making process is talking to anybody except college staffs.

Unless it's an announcement from the prospect themselves, it's just click bait.

Per 247

Hardman: Almost a lock
Brown: Under 50% shot, trending down (no one knows)
Mack Wilson: Almost no shot
Brian Burns: Big FSU lean
Davis: NOPE
Michail Carter: Dawg lean
Tyler Simmons: Dawg lean
EJ Price: Dawg lean
Jeawon Taylor: 1 in 5 shot
Marshall: BIG Dawg lean (he's a Dawg)
Jauan Williams: mixed messages, who knows

EDIT:
Robertson: almost 50/50...make it past NSD, get him on campus, and let Kirby close

No kidding. Not sure what his deal is with this kid. We have quite a few players like him already on the roster.

So interesting to read the slant different 247 pages put on the story. Nothing is objective. Not even ours.

Now if he makes it to Athens with his mom, he's a Dawg. Good news for us

AJC reporting that it's a lot closer than most think for Mack Wilson.

I just do not buy it. All the pictures in UGA gear recently just scream "trolling" to me...the minute I saw that first picture I thought he was gone.

Of course, I'll be more than happy to be wrong
