At what point does it become a credibility issue when you are recruiting ATHLETES?
Ask Buddy Ryan, Andy Reid, Dennis Green, John Madden and the list goes on and on. If a kid is smart, he will go to the best coach, not the most fit coach. It appears as if a coaches weight is an issue only to people on here.

exactly. The gargantuan size of his waistline doesn't have one iota to do with how well he can coach or call plays.

I mean I will agree that it's slightly embarrassing. I'd rather our coaches look a little less behemoth when visiting recruits and their families, plus it's a poor reflection of UGA.
BUT, as mentioned, looks have literally zero to do with how well he does his job of calling plays so it ultimately doesn't matter. But if given the choice, yeah of course I'd rather him be normal weight.

From all the interviews I've seen him do he seems like a genuinely good guy, which should matter to recruits and their families more than his physical appearance.

Ben Davis said UGA has a "half yard lead" because of Kirby. I was under the impression we really didn't have a shot with Davis. What are the thoughts on him?

Ben Davis says that we lead and Bama fans think they'll get him, Mecole says Bama leads and we think we'll get him. Recruiting is strange.
Idk though, Ben Davis seems to really love Kirby and if he has a great visit anything can happen. Also have to factor in Mack Wilson, who seemed to be getting a lot of attention this morning, if they're serious about playing together maybe they'll decide this is the place to do it.

Love getting the attention, but I still won't really believe he's coming until we get the LOI signed.
I believe his dad is the all time tackles leader in bama history. That's probably tough to overcome.
