I'm assuming this is the same Lowndes that used to post on the Scout boards about 5 years back. If so, his info was almost always spot on.

I don't think Chubb was running the same as last year and wondered if he wasn't hurt. Then all the weird shite with KM. I wonder if some of that had to do with Brown coaching?

I get what you're saying. Chubb only averaged 8.1 ypc this year. Pretty terrible...

And how in the world does the Keith Marshall stuff relate to Thomas Brown?

I think you're reaching just a touch here. And to keep this somewhat on topic I think Brown will continue to be a solid recruiter for us, especially at the RB position.

Yeah, the fact that our oline was garbage has nothing to do with it.

My worry is that Eason may be waiting for a good OC to get on board while the good OC is waiting for Eason to decide. I hope there is good communication between all.

No OC is going to base their decision on whether they do or don't come to UGA on a high school recruit.

Eason is waiting on our OC hire and that's pretty much the same way it's been the last 2 weeks.

It could be one consideration.

Doubt it. That doesn't seem like the kind of decision making that would qualify someone as a "good OC"

Lowndes says at this time not looking good for keeping Rocker.

THat could hurt us with D Brown and J Rochester and more.

He is not Kirbys top choice but he alluded to the top choice being someone employed elsewhere at this time.

Any idea who his top choice would be? I remember seeing Rumph being mentioned.

According to the insider, not having an OC before eason makes a decision won't be a deal breaker. Probably just wants to feel comfortable with Kirby's direction but probably wouldn't hurt to have an OC he can research.

It may not matter to Eason but I will feel better when we finally announce the OC and DC and they are awesome hires

Honestly, I could see the DC part(Vandys Derek Mason does it and they were much improved this season) but, I cant see the OC side. He only has experience coaching RBs. Seems a far-fetch to do it all as a first-time HC.

I think he hires both eventually though.

Given all the changes and the timing is it safe to say we don't who from our class will sign and who we'll pick up and/or lose? I know losing Pruitt will be big but Smart could pull some kids too.

Oh well...you have to break a few eggs...

I did hear today that Coastal Carolinas and Ga Southern have more top 25 SC recruits committed than the Gamecocks.
