I think the only concern I have is, if you have to have a backup school, why pick UF? If we lose him, so be it. But if we have to watch this kid potentially throttle us for the next three years or even compete for a natty, that's gonna suck. Hard.

Kirby just said on his interview with 680 he prefers a pro-style quarterback (non-mobile). Wants a QB that can run play-action and throw vertically.

Look at all the quarterbacks alabama has had. I know Kirby isn't necessarily going to run the same offense, but that's the style that won 4 SEC championships and a couple national titles. I'm sure that is not lost on him. I'm sure the Easons are aware of it also.

Yeah, I was just thinking he'd be gone to Michigan if it wasn't us. To basically be considering flipping over to our arch rival (arguably) is almost a slap in the face. He's trolling somebody here. Question is, is it us or them?

Is Kirby still visiting Eason today?
Also one of the guys on 24/7 changed his CB from Alabama to UGA for 2017 Bama QB commit Jake Fromm. Kirby is listed as one of his primary recruiters.

Regarding Eason/ UF, etc.:
I want Eason. He's been the crown jewel of our class for a long time. That said, if he goes to UF, so be it. UF is going to have a good QB anyway. And so will we! With our without Eason next year was going to be a rebuild offensively anyway....

He is a big time Vol Fan and grew up in UT and his family is all UT fans. The only thing we have going for us is current location but all signs point to Vol lock for him. We are better off going for Jake Fromm or keeping Baily Hockman.
