Yeah, you would have thought he would have played more with the absence of veteran guards in the team. And the fact that the team was fighting for its tournament life for half the season. Would have been a great time to get a freshman minutes.

I would think better early season development of his shot and handle could have really helped us in a couple of key games we blew in SEC play.

Had a good time attending the game today. Kind of a "what if" season for me. What if we still had Morris, Forte and a healthy Parker taking mins from KPG, Kessler and the freshmen? Alternatively, what if Parker was healthy enough to play all year?

Looking forward to next year. Concerned that it will be the first time in almost a decade that we haven't had an athletic freak to man the tough assignments on D (Leslie, KCP, and Gaines). Should be solid in the post. Hope that DO and Edwards make a progression similar to what Yante did. Turtle and Wilridge have to really improve or next season will be a struggle. I really expected more of Wilridge this year. JJ and Maten can't combine for 40 every night.

Hopefully Turtle gained some confidence that will help him make some strides during the off-season. He's got good size and can hit the long J. He needs to be very solid for us next year.

If J.J. can get some back court help, we should be a better team next year.

Definitely could be a better team next year. If Parker comes back 100% it's like returning 4 starters. A starting lineup including JJ, Parker, Yante and DO isn't bad. Issue is that we need 3-4 more guys to produce. KPG and Kessler ain't it. I hope Edwards is one. Feel like he can really improve. Turtle and Wilridge need to take the next step. Feel good about Turtle. Hopefully Crump can contribute.

To me, the season hinges on Parker's achilles.

I think Turtle makes a big jump next near, today was big for him and he is a hardworking kid. Wilridge has big potential. He is now another year past his knee injury and use to the speed of the college game, he could have a big offseason too.

I feel great about Ogbeide and Edwards, those 2 have huge upside and showed flashes of it this year. Dream scenario would be adding a stretch 4 to the mix or Wilridge playing 6-8 minutes a game at the 4 like we did with Geno Friday.

Hope Parker is back but not sure we can expect it. He is a solid 5-7 points guy, good rebounder and solid defender.

Like this Pape Diatta JUCO SF we are recruiting. Think he would fit in well and add some needed athleticism at the 3-4 position. Also Crump is legit, will be our much needed outside scoring threat next year.

Looking like the NIT is gonna be full of SEC teams. UGA, Bama, Ole Miss, LSU, Florida, South Carolina and Vandy are all possibilities. In reality 1-2 of those teams will make the dance and someone else could miss the NIT bid, but there's gonna be a lot of familiar faces in that thing.

Tech will be in the NIT too.

Wouldn't mind hosting an SEC opponent or Tech again at Stegeman. Should be able to pack the place out

Very well could see tech or another SEC team in the 2nd or 3rd round of the NIT with how many opponents we have played this year that could be in it.

And our RPI right now is 63 (might go up a spot or 2 if UK wins) and SC is 1 behind us at 64.

Some absolutely awesome things have happened for UGA and their chances. Not only did about 10 games over the last 2 days effect our RPI, it has also lowered our SOS to 23rd and OOC SOS to #3. This puts our RPI and SOS ahead of USCe along with 3 H2H wins. We played Kentucky really close until the last 2 mins. While I still dont think we will get in or deserve to be in the NCAA tournament, it will be VERY tough for the committee not to take 3 SECS teams and our resume looks better overall right now than USCe and Florida (lost last 5 outta 6 and went .500 in conf play). I guess I might have the selection show on in the backround tonight while I cook.

Yep, we're now at 62. Vandy is 63, South Carolina is 64.

Sucks to see Florida at 55. If we'd beaten them at home a couple weeks ago not only would they be eliminated from bubble talk, but we'd most likely be in.

Like I've said about 8 times in this thread, if we had played 2 more easy cupcakes preseason to get those Ws, we would probably be in. Per WG, I don't like to say "if we had won a close game that we lost" because we did win games we shouldn't have and did win a couple close games. Looking forward to next season for sure.

Yea, I wasn't really on board with the philosophy of "1-2 more easy games helping us" when it first came up, but I completely agree now. Even just 1 win against an RPI top 150 team in addition to our current resume would help us probably 2-3 spots in the RPI.

CBS - 5:30 this year and will run 2 hours. Usually it was a 6-7 show. They going to add more breakdowns and interviews with committee members this year. Is imagine first region will be announced at 6:10ish and last around 6:50ish.

With UGA being hot and JJ being a rising National name, I think we have a shot.

I just see no way the sec only gets 2 bids. I think our resume is right there with the others on the outside. I say the league gets at least 3 and probably 4

I really hope so....but would put us at less than 1% chance. We just don't deserve it over a lot of the other bubble teams. We have a couple of bad losses and no real "good" wins. The 3 over USCe are nice, but they played a reaaaally bad OOC sched to get to that win total. Would be amazingly awesome tho

ETA: my money is on a 3 seed in NIT

UCONN at 24-10 and conference champs..a 9 seed? Yeesh.

Like others, I'm just hoping for a 3 seed or better in the NIT. Prior to SECT we were projected as a 5 going to columbus and OSU. Surely we've improved since then, question is how much.
