So we haven't offered a 3* kid out of an Augusta private school (that actually plays in South Carolina). LSU has.

I mean I know recruiting info has slowed to a near standstill, but dredging up articles like that is just sad. Apparently Carvell couldn't get anything decent from, you know, an actual top prospect in the state?

How hard would it have been to just write about Giella and his LSU offer? Obviously he would mention that UGA/GT has or hasn't offered, but that is all it needs. Talk about what LSU likes and his interest in them. He won't be getting a UGA offer so there is no reason to focus on it.
We've got probably 3 OL spots left to fill and I highly doubt we'll be dipping into the tiny Augusta private schools to find him. With a good season, we won't have to even consider taking anything below a solid 4* on the OL.

Cause he's a damn hack writer and the only way he gets people to read his articles is to piss off massive amounts of fans. I mean how many LSU fans are there really in the AJC's distribution area?

Nice pickup for Fedora, but I have a feeling this isn’t over. I still think he’ll end up in South Bend or Columbus. He was in Chapel Hill this weekend, they sold him on former TE Eric Ebron being a potential top 10 pick. He has 117 more unofficials lined up, so who knows
