That’s good news, UGA has been on him from the get go. Are we only taking 1 RB this cycle? It pretty much common knowledge that Taj and Swinney don’t like our depth chart. If we decide on 2 backs, anyone we need to watch out for?

SIAP, Roquan Smith will be visiting Knoxville this weekend. His next scheduled trips are Auburn on March 22, SCAR on March 29 and UGA on April 5. Always good to bookend unofficial visits, especially with schools that like to negative recruit. I’m looking at you Tennessee.

It looks like we're trying to get one traditional back and one all-purpose, scat type back. My guess
1 of Johnny Frasier, Ty'Son Williams, Eric Swinney, Dexter Williams
1 of Taj Griffin, Bryce Love, Nyheim Hines
something like that. Could live with just one total

Johnny Frasier
He was just bumped to the #1 back for 247 rankings. He is a North Carolina guy, and we have our ace recruiters on him. According to 247, FSU is currently the team to beat, but I always like our chances for a Carolina RB.

Yeah right now he has FSU #1 then us #2. McClendon and Lilly are as good a duo as anyone in the Carolinas

Never heard of Johnny Frasier and I live in NC I'll have to do some research plays against very sup par teams here. But he has good size and speed!

I second this notion.

I just put him on there because we're still recruiting him. I agree that it's unlikely

On a good note Chuma is better than 50% chance.

Seem to be seeing a lot of folks on here and elsewhere start citing to 247 for top recruiting news and info. I'm still olde skool Scout and Rivals and know nothing about 247.
Can someone give me the skinny? Are they the new serious players in recruiting info? Worth it to get premium access (I assume they have something like that), etc.?

The best of Rivals broke off a few years ago and created 247. It's regarded as the best but their composite takes all of the sites and combines them which is what I like.

247 was started by Shannon Terry, the guy who started Rivals. He sold and left and signed a non-compete clause several years ago. When it ended he took over several of the then early ESPN boards/writers as well as many of the Rivals writers/editors he had hired years before and he formed 247.
247 latched onto CBSsports for financing like Rivals did to yahoo. 247's big advantage right now is quality writers/experts and the 247 Composite, which gives an average ranking for a recruit from the 4 major services (ESPN, 247, Rivals and Scout.) Various 247 boards have more activity than others, but their membership is growing at a faster pace than Rivals or Scout.
I would recommend someone subscribe to 247 if a paysite is something the person was looking at doing. I wouldn't recommend Scout or ESPN for an SEC school fan. I'm sure Rivals is good too though, but I don't use them for info.
Also, whenever SCRooster gets unbanned look for the Board Wars History that he's posting this offseason, it will explain a lot of the behind the scenes stuff that went on with all that.

Much obliged. I may look into it.

How much does a 247 account run? I figure for as much time as I waste on UGA I may as well get into this.

It's like $10 a month or an annual payment of about $100
It's not much if I think about it relative to other expenses in my life. It's like 2 drinks at a bar
