It doesn't hurt that they are #1 and going to the playoffs. Most kids like to play for the best teams.

What kills me is so many kids want "early playing time" yet they continue to choose Bama. How many true freshman has Bama played in 2014?? Saban must tell some gooood lies...

Rings. Bama gets them. They are the best team in college football and pretty much have been since Saban.

Should never be a surprise when they pick up really good recruits. Kids at this level believe they are the best and want to play for the best. Right now - that's Saban.

We are actually doing a heckuva job recruiting against them when you think about it.

He probably just talks them out of early playing time. All he's got to do is flash his rings and pull out a stat sheet of # of players in the NFL.

He has a lot of players that sit their time on the bench/special teams and learn and then have a great junior and/or senior year when they finally earn the starting role and make it to the league. They know the competition makes them better and doesn't keep them from the league if they do the work. That pitch won't work with all kids but it seems to with plenty.

Demarre Kitt is transferring from Clemson, anyone think UGA becomes an option?

Didn't he become a "no take" once he got into crazy amounts of trouble in HS? IIRC, we encouraged him to explore his options.

Yeah, not sure Kitt is a take for us. We are doing fine at WR without having to take Clemson's leftovers.

He's no leftover. A talent I would definitely take.

You’re thinking of Nick Glass

Do we revoke Robert Burns' offer?

"A few days ago, I picked up offers from Rutgers and Georgia," Burns said. "It was pretty exciting to (pick up the Georgia offer). Just knowing the legacy they have at the running back position is pretty cool. From Herschel Walker to the guys they have now, like Todd Gurley.

"Even with the freshman, like Nate Chubb. Another running back I really like is Sony Michel. He's from South Florida and I grew up watching him a lot in high school. As far as the football program, I don't really know too much about Rutgers. Academically speaking, they're a pretty sound school."

Yeah, I think you're right. That must've been Glass. I just remember that Kitt & Glass were two of our first commitments for the class, back when they were juniors.

So the guys on 247 are saying that Wilkerson is the next to transfer. Anyone else hearing this?

I'd be really surprised if he didn't transfer. I also think one of the ILBs from the 2013 class will leave.

Turning over the defensive roster has to happen for UGA to get better.
