Five-star running back Sony Michel (Plantation, Fla./American Heritage) isn’t thinking about leaving Georgia or decommitting or anything else. As a matter of fact the 5-foot-11, 200-pound prospect is trying to get some of his 7-on-7 teammates to consider taking a look at Georgia as well.

The guys he’s primarily recruiting are wide receivers Travis Rudolph (West Palm Beach, Fla./Cardinal Newman) and Ermon Lane (Homestead, Fla./Homestead).

“I just want them to take a look at the campus and see if they like it,” Michel said. “I’m not going to push them to do anything but I think once they get a feel for the school and the coaching staff I won’t need to sell them on it.”

LSU is all over this guy right now. Apparently really pushing him to flip soon.

They're still trying to wash the taste of Landon Collins' betrayal out of their mouths

We're also pursuing CJ Hamilton, a 4 star safety committed to Ole Miss. Will Friend was his dad's OL coach at W. Alabama so he has a relationship with the fam already. It'd be nice to flip a Mississippi prospect from Ole Miss...

He fits y'alls mold for QB very well. Needs to work on his arm and release, but that's something that most high school QBs have to work on at the next level.

I think we need to go to the bama route of recruiting every year. You guys said that were slowplaying street because of schollie numbers, screw that we need to Process some kids and go after him, him , gaillard, miller, carter, keyon brown and i hope we take sawyer too, that kind of recruiting will enable us to stop bamas running game

Carter and Brown are OLB and don't factor into DL recruiting.

We can harp on scholarship numbers and our recruiting tactics all we want but the truth of the matter is that will NEVER happen under our current staff. Never. Ever. No use in mentioning it.

We're taking Shaw, Gaillard, Russell, Lambert, and Baker in this class which is still a DAMN good class. 2 five stars and a high four star along with a grown arse JUCO BAMF and a kid with a ton of upside at NG/OT.

Do not want. UGA does do it some though. What do you think really happened to a certain brother of a high draft pick?

Our scholarship numbers mainly came from some big failures by our recruiting coordinator (Garner) and only signing 19 the year before. Richt is not against signing a jumbo class of 30+, as shown this past year, but he's not going to willingly bring on more kids if it means having to kick a kid off the team. We have encouraged kids who aren't puttin in time and work to leave, but a kid who busts his arse and just can't "put it together" won't have his scholarship pulled unless he wants to leave.

i know that morally its not right but it pissed me off that saban does it and gets rewarded with championship, you cant convince me that if we had a few more d-lineman on schollies we wouldnt have won the mnc this yr

Which is the way it should be imho. I don't like the idea of oversigning.

Our issue is turning away good players that want to play for us for a player that we have a small shot at.
