HERE IS AN UPDATE ON JACOB PARK:

David Cornwell recently visited Alabama. Although Bama does not have any commit-able offers at the QB position, that will change this weekend. Bama is supposed to open up a commit-able offer by this weekend to their QB of desire. Cornwell is predicted to get that commit-able offer this weekend and the minute he does......he will commit to the Tide. When he commits, Jacob Park is out of the equation.

That is why it is out that Jacob Park will commit to the Bulldogs next week or the next. He wants to play in the SEC and he wanted to play at UGA or Alabama. If Bama does not have room, the automatic choice is to be a Dawg.

Va Tech is pretty much out of the equation due to his desire to play football at a SEC School.

I think we would land Park regardless of what happens with Bama. It would essentially be Park battling with Ramsey for the top spot once Mason is gone. One thing we can offer better than most any school in the nation is development at the QB position. Say all you want about squandered talent anywhere else, but we're damn good at developing QB's.

2 of the top 5 NFL WR's are from Georgia Tech... in other words, UGA has been lucky with QB's... The end is near.

What's your top 5 WRs in the NFL, I think DT is in the top 10 but top 5 is a bit of a stretch

Here's a beautiful piece written by Dean Legge on how the SEC West is out of control in regards to recruiting.

He seems pretty mad

quote:

The funny thing is that if half of what I hear is true about recruiting in the West – brand new iPods thrown into garbage bags and left by the dumpster in plain sight of prospects visiting; institutions paying those who transport prospects hundreds of dollars to get players back and forth on non-official visits; $100 handshakes; free cleats, shirts and other gear; duffle bags of cash; cars; straight up paying players – then the NCAA compliance department would have a field day in the central time zone.

Carter would be a huge get. He seems like he's been a Bama lean for a while, so I hope we have made up ground. What's his timetable to commit?
